Where to search for a Nergigante egg
GameSkinny’s July 8, 2021 guide places Nergigante eggs in Rare Dens around Terga Volcano Base. Gameranx’s December 15, 2021 guide recommends Rare Dens at Torga Volcano. These are guide-reported locations, not a guarantee that every den—or every egg nest—will contain Nergigante.
If you are attempting the hunt before finishing the game, Gameranx describes reaching Terga and Kinship Stone Level 7 after your first Nergigante encounter as the progression point for its earlier route. This is the guide’s stated condition, not confirmation that the egg is available before that point.
How to repeat the den search

Travel to Terga and look around Terga Volcano Base or Torga Volcano for a Rare Den.

Use Nest Search to help locate nearby dens and nests, as Gameranx recommends. Search the nest once you reach it.

If you do not find a Rare Den, follow the guide’s advice to reset the local den layout and check again. The sources do not specify a Nergigante egg percentage, and neither a Rare Den nor the target egg is guaranteed on an attempt.

If the nest has eggs but none appears to be Nergigante, continue the search rather than treating the egg’s appearance as definitive. GameSkinny describes an orange-and-black egg with a star pattern; Gameranx describes a black egg with red stars. Since the descriptions differ, inspect the available eggs instead of relying on color alone.
Choose an egg and get it back safely
Capcom’s official manual explains that eggs are found in nests inside Monster Dens. You can exchange an egg while other eggs remain in the nest, so make your choice before taking the last option. Once you carry an egg out, it is yours, but you move more slowly; if a battle begins after monster contact and you lose, you lose the egg.

Egg weight and smell provide clues, not a way to confirm the species. Capcom says a heavier egg raises the probability of a strong monster, while a stronger smell raises the probability of rare genes. Neither clue guarantees Nergigante or specific genes.

Take the egg to a Stable to hatch it. Capcom’s manual also notes that the Monstipedia’s habitat information can help locate eggs for Monsties whose information has been recorded. The manual does not establish a specific Nergigante spawn rate or guarantee for the Terga locations reported by the guides.
