To get a Monacan IP address, your internet traffic must exit through a network connection assigned to Monaco. If you are in Monaco, the best-documented option is a local Monaco Telecom connection; its residential fiber offer is reserved for Monaco residents. If you are abroad, you would need a VPN that currently has an actual Monaco exit server—but no provider with a verifiable Monaco endpoint is established here. A nearby-country server, router, or ordinary travel eSIM does not create a Monaco IP.
What a Monacan IP address means
Websites identify your apparent location primarily from the public IP address seen at the network exit. They may also use their own location databases and VPN-detection systems. As a result, an IP lookup that labels an address as Monaco does not guarantee that a particular website will treat it as local or allow access. IP databases can disagree, and services can apply separate residence, account, or licensing rules.
Changing your device’s region or language settings does not change the country of the network exit. A router can manage or share an existing connection, but it cannot supply a Monaco network address on its own.

Options for getting a Monaco IP
| Route | What it can do | Key limitation | What to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monaco Telecom residential fiber | Provides a local Monaco connection through the provider’s published consumer plans. | The residential offer is stated to be reserved for Monaco residents. | Eligibility, current contract terms, total price, and speeds. Monaco Telecom residential fiber offer |
| Monaco Telecom business fiber | Published business plans include a dedicated fixed IP. | Requires a business service contract and local access; full eligibility terms are not established here. | Fixed-IP terms, availability, speeds, support, and total cost. Monaco Telecom business fiber offer |
| VPN with a Monaco exit | Could route traffic through Monaco for someone outside the country if the provider offers a real Monaco exit endpoint. | No current VPN provider with a verifiable Monaco endpoint is established here. Availability, IP reputation, and site acceptance can change. | Confirm Monaco is an actual exit location before paying, then test the exact destination service. |
| SIM/eSIM or router hardware | A SIM or router can connect or share a connection. | Neither alone establishes that traffic exits through Monaco. A roaming SIM may exit through another country. | Check the public IP and destination service rather than assuming the device creates a Monaco location. |

Residential connection
Monaco Telecom publishes residential fiber plans with advertised maximum speeds of up to 500 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload for Basic, 2 Gbps/300 Mbps for Comfort, 5 Gbps/500 Mbps for Comfort+, and 10 Gbps/2 Gbps for Premium. These are provider-published plan figures, not independent speed-test results. The provider says its residential offer is reserved for Monaco residents, so check eligibility and current terms directly on its residential offer page.

Business connection and fixed IP
Monaco Telecom’s published business fiber plans list a dedicated fixed IP. Advertised maximum speeds are up to 2 Gbps download/300 Mbps upload for Comfort, 5 Gbps/1 Gbps for Premium, and 10 Gbps/10 Gbps for Platinum. The listed Comfort price is €69.99 per month before VAT; the page lists Premium at a promotional €69.99 per month before VAT for six months, then €99.99 per month before VAT. These are provider-published figures and the promotion and terms may change, so verify current availability and total cost on the business offer page. They are not independent performance results.
Check the connection and configure the router
- Subscribe to an eligible local service and connect through that contracted Monaco Telecom network.
- Check the public IP with a reputable lookup service. Treat its country result as an indication; another database or destination website may classify the address differently.
- If you have a fixed-IP contract and need to assign that address to a local device, follow Monaco Telecom’s router instructions. Its support documentation says bridge mode assigns the contract’s fixed IP to one device on the local network; passthrough assigns a dynamic public IP to one device. See Monaco Telecom internet support.
If you are outside Monaco
A VPN is the relevant option only if its traffic actually exits from a Monaco endpoint. Before subscribing, check the provider’s current server-location list or get written confirmation that Monaco is an exit location—not merely a nearby server in France or another country. Confirm the trial or refund terms and that the service supports your devices.

- 【Keep your Internet Safe】IPv6 supported. OpenVPN & WireGuard pre-installed, compatible with 30+ VPN service providers. Cloudflare encryption supported to protect the privacy.
- Connect to the confirmed Monaco endpoint.
- Check the public IP location, ideally with more than one lookup source if the result is unclear.
- Test the specific website or service you need. A location database may report Monaco while the service detects VPN use or applies separate account, residence, or licensing rules.
- If the lookup does not show Monaco or the destination blocks the connection, contact the VPN provider. Changing DNS settings or buying a router will not change the country of the network exit.
Do not assume that a travel SIM or eSIM used abroad routes traffic through Monaco. The available service information does not establish that it does; verify the actual public IP before relying on it.
