To get a Haitian IP address while you’re outside Haiti, connect to a VPN server whose location is explicitly listed as Haiti. The provider cited here says its paid plan lets users select Haiti, while its free plan does not include free Haiti servers. Server locations and plan terms can change, so confirm Haiti is still available before subscribing.
Get a Haiti IP address from abroad
A VPN routes your internet traffic through a provider’s server. When you connect to a Haiti endpoint, websites may see the server’s public IP address and estimate that your connection is in Haiti. This changes the apparent IP-based location; it does not change your device’s GPS location or establish that you are physically in Haiti.
Proton VPN’s Haiti server page says Haiti selection is available on a paid plan and that its free plan has no free Haiti servers. This is information about that provider, not a claim about every VPN service. Check its current country list and plan terms before signing up.

Connect to the Haiti endpoint
- Choose a plan with a Haiti location. Confirm that Haiti is currently selectable on the plan you intend to use.
- Install the VPN app on the phone, computer, or other supported device where you need the connection.
- Sign in and select Haiti from the app’s country list, then connect.
- Check the apparent IP and country. Use an IP lookup service after connecting. Location databases provide estimates and may disagree; a displayed Haiti location is not proof of your physical location.
- Try the specific site or service. A Haiti IP does not guarantee access. A destination may detect VPN connections or apply separate account, location, or identity checks.
Use an ISP if you are connecting from an address in Haiti
If you are physically in Haiti, local internet service is a different route: your connection uses the network serving your location. Hainet’s service page describes address-dependent availability and advertises fixed-IP availability for some offers. It does not establish that every customer qualifies, so confirm coverage and terms directly with the provider. Local ISP service is not a way to route a connection from abroad through Haiti.

|---|---|---|
| VPN with a Haiti endpoint | Remote access from outside Haiti | Proton VPN says its paid plan allows Haiti selection; verify current availability and terms. |
| Local ISP service | Internet access at an address in Haiti | Hainet describes address-dependent service and fixed-IP availability among some offers; eligibility is not established for every address or customer. |
What a Haiti IP can—and cannot—tell a website
An IP lookup estimates the network location associated with a public IP. For example, IPinfo’s sample records for an Access Haiti network associate addresses with Port-au-Prince. That example illustrates a geolocation listing; it does not verify a VPN server’s location or guarantee that another lookup service will report the same result.
IP-based location is distinct from GPS. A VPN connection alone cannot establish a device’s physical location. Likewise, no evidence cited here confirms that a particular streaming, banking, or government service will accept a VPN connection from Haiti. The provider advertises streaming access, but that is a provider claim—not confirmation from a streaming platform or a compatibility test.

Haiti’s internet infrastructure is not a remote-access product
Haiti’s internet exchange infrastructure is intended to keep local traffic in Haiti and support network resilience. The AIXP page describes its mission as keeping local traffic in Haiti, improving internet performance, and strengthening digital resilience. An exchange point is network infrastructure, not a consumer service for obtaining a Haitian IP from another country.
The International Telecommunication Union’s 2024 report ranks Haiti 199th worldwide for secure internet servers per million people. It also reports latency figures of 10 ms for fixed networks and 24 ms for mobile networks for the report period, describing them as within standard levels for high-quality telecommunications services. These are report-period infrastructure measures—not live 2026 benchmarks of VPN speed, availability, or consumer service quality.

Check access and legal questions separately
Test the exact destination you need after connecting, because VPN acceptance depends on that service’s own systems and rules. The cited provider page makes claims about streaming access, speed, and its no-logs policy; the available evidence does not establish independent audits, platform confirmation, or test results for those claims.
The provider also says no specific law bans VPNs in Haiti, but the information cited here does not include an official Haitian legal or regulator source confirming that conclusion. Do not treat the vendor statement as legal advice; the legality of particular conduct remains subject to applicable law.
