Start by identifying what is wrong: a spacebar that will not type needs different checks from one that sticks, wobbles, or has a broken cap. For input problems, clean the keyboard, check its connection, test it on another system, then follow the reset instructions for your exact Corsair model. For a missing or broken cap, use Corsair’s keycap request form. If the bar is loose or tilted, contact Corsair support rather than prying the keyboard apart.
Identify the spacebar problem first
Check the keyboard’s model name and whether it is wired or wireless. Corsair’s reset steps vary by connection type, and some models have their own procedure. Then identify the symptom:
- No or intermittent input: The key does not type a space, or misses presses.
- Sticking or obstructed movement: The bar does not move or return normally.
- Loose, tilted, or wobbly bar: The key moves unevenly or appears unstable.
- Missing or visibly broken cap: The keycap itself is absent or damaged.
A reset can help address an input or software-related problem, but it cannot repair a physically broken cap or stabilizer.

1. Clean the keyboard
Corsair recommends cleaning when individual keys have input issues. Disconnect the keyboard before cleaning and follow the cleaning guidance for your specific model. Avoid forcing the spacebar or using a cleaning method that could damage the key or keyboard.

2. Check the connection
- Wired keyboard: Check that the cable is firmly connected and try another USB port.
- Wireless keyboard: Check the charge and confirm that the receiver is connected.
3. Test it on another system
Connect the keyboard to a different computer and test the spacebar. If it works there, the problem may be related to the original computer or its software; if it still fails, the keyboard itself may need further troubleshooting.
4. Reset the exact model
If the spacebar still does not work, use Corsair’s keyboard troubleshooting guide and check the model before following a reset. The guide gives different instructions for K95 RGB Platinum and MK2 keyboards, K55 keyboards, other wired keyboards, and wireless keyboards. Do not apply one model’s sequence to another.

Fix a sticking spacebar
Clean the keyboard as described above and check for visible debris around the spacebar. Do not pry the bar off or force it back into place: the available Corsair guidance does not provide a consumer repair procedure for a stuck key. If cleaning does not resolve the obstruction, contact Corsair Support with the model and a description of the symptom.

Corsair’s spare-parts instructions direct customers to a keycap request form. The page says up to 10 keycaps per order are free, subject to warehouse availability, and lists a flat $14.99 USD shipping fee in its ordering details. Recent purchasers and customers whose keyboard issue affects more than 10 keycaps are directed to support first. Check the live page for current availability, shipping, regional terms, and eligibility.

If considering a third-party replacement, verify compatibility with the exact keyboard model, key layout, and mounting fit, and review the seller’s return terms. Corsair’s guidance does not establish that one spacebar cap fits every Corsair keyboard.

A loose or tilted spacebar may have a stabilizer problem rather than an input fault. In a Corsair Community thread, a Corsair employee advised contacting support for replacement when a stabilizer is not functioning properly; that is case-specific advice, not a repair procedure. Contact support rather than disassembling, prying apart, or soldering the keyboard.

Corsair’s Limited Warranty, updated August 11, 2026, says products are not designed for consumer self-repair and that Corsair does not provide consumer repair instructions or tools. It states that new Corsair gaming keyboards carry a two-year warranty, but coverage, start date, proof-of-purchase requirements, and available service depend on the product and circumstances. The warranty page requires a product serial number and purchase receipt to exercise warranty rights. Check the terms and contact Corsair to determine whether service is available for your keyboard.
