If Mystery Gift is missing in Pokémon Pokopia, first play until the Pokémon Center PC feature unlocks, then use the PC in town and select Get Items → Mystery Gifts. Nintendo estimates that Mystery Gift becomes available after approximately 30 minutes of play. If the menu is there but a particular gift is not, check that offer’s delivery method, claim period, eligibility, and redemption limit.
When Mystery Gift does not appear in the menu
Play until the Pokémon Center PC feature is available
Nintendo says it takes approximately 30 minutes of play before you can access Mystery Gift at the Pokémon Center PC. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed timer. If you have not reached the PC feature yet, continue playing and check again once it is available. Nintendo Support’s Pokopia instructions provide the access estimate.
Use the Pokopia menu path
At the PC in town, select Get Items → Mystery Gifts. This is the Pokopia-specific route; instructions for other Pokémon games may use different menus.
When Mystery Gift will not connect or retrieve an offer
Check the console’s internet connection
Nintendo states that an internet connection is required to access Mystery Gift. Check that your Switch 2 is connected to the internet in System Settings. If the console’s connection test fails, note the exact error code and message, then use Nintendo Support’s guidance for that code; the right fix depends on what the console reports.
#1 Best Overall
- Shape the world and build a cozy new life with Pokémon as a Ditto transformed to look like a human.
- Use other Pokémon’s moves, like Bulbasaur’s Leafage, to revitalize and navigate the world around you.
- Meet and befriend more Pokémon as you help nature flourish.
- Gather materials to create items and furniture, till the fields to grow delicious crops, build homes for the Pokémon you meet, and more—there’s so much to do!
- Experience a world with varied weather, real-time days and nights, and other surprises.
Install the current game update
Nintendo says an update is required for the game’s Internet features. Its support page lists Ver. 2.0.1, released September 7, 2026. To check for an update, go to the HOME Menu, highlight Pokémon Pokopia, press + or −, and select Software Update → Over the Internet. See Nintendo’s Pokopia update information.
Choose the delivery method that matches your gift
From Get Items → Mystery Gifts, choose Get via Internet for an offer distributed online. Choose Get with Code/Password if you were given a code. A code will not appear as an internet offer simply because you opened the online option, and an online offer does not require entering a code. Nintendo says the game automatically saves after a gift is received.

When the menu works but the gift is missing
If Mystery Gifts opens and other functions work, the issue may be with that specific offer rather than the feature. Check the offer’s official terms for its claim deadline, eligible region or account, delivery method, and whether it can be redeemed only once. Availability is not permanent for every gift.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsExample: Ditto Rug early-purchase bonus
Nintendo’s Canadian store listing says the Ditto Rug early-purchase bonus can be claimed through Sunday, January 31, 2027, and can be redeemed once. Those terms apply to that bonus, not to all Mystery Gifts. The listing also says the profile must be linked to a Nintendo Account and the system must be online. It specifically says a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership is not required for this bonus. Check Nintendo’s Canadian store listing for the Ditto Rug terms.

Quick troubleshooting checklist
- Feature unavailable: Continue playing until the Pokémon Center PC is available; Nintendo’s estimate is approximately 30 minutes of play.
- Menu path unclear: At the town PC, open Get Items → Mystery Gifts.
- Connection error: Test the console’s internet connection and record the exact error code and message for Nintendo’s matching support instructions.
- Internet retrieval fails: Check for the current game update from the HOME Menu using + or − → Software Update → Over the Internet.
- Gift not listed: Confirm that you selected Get via Internet or Get with Code/Password, as appropriate, then check the named offer’s official terms and claim status.
Nintendo’s update information also discusses membership requirements for the game’s online features, while its Ditto Rug listing explicitly exempts that particular Mystery Gift from a paid Nintendo Switch Online requirement. Follow the terms for the specific offer rather than assuming an online-game membership rule applies to every gift.
