If Jin Sakai is missing from Most Wanted, first check whether the mode is included with the edition or upgrade on the account you’re using. Then play runs to earn Mon and inspect the character unlock options between runs. Atsu is the starting character, and Jin is one of the additional characters unlocked through progression. PlayStation has not published Jin’s exact Mon cost, a required number of runs, or a fixed unlock order, so use the requirement shown in your game.
1. Confirm that your account has access to Most Wanted
Most Wanted is included in Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition. If you already own the base game, PlayStation says access is available through the Complete Edition Upgrade. Check the edition or upgrade on the account playing the game, and confirm the current regional store listing and terms. A base-game listing alone does not establish that you have access to the mode.

PlayStation announced the mode as part of patch v2.0, with a stated launch date of October 1, 2026 globally and October 2 in some territories, including Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Those launch dates do not confirm your current entitlement or installed game version. Check your account’s store and the game’s version if Most Wanted itself is unavailable. 2. Check the character unlock progression
Start runs to earn Mon
Most Wanted is a single-player roguelike mode: choose bounties, complete runs, and earn perks and upgrades. Atsu is the default starting character; other characters become available through progression. PlayStation says Mon earned during play can be spent between runs on character unlocks, among other upgrades. Andrew Goldfarb, Sucker Punch’s Senior Communications Manager, describes Mon as spendable outside runs to unlock new techniques, weapon upgrades, charms, and characters.

Inspect the between-run character options
After a run, open the character unlock options and check whether Jin is listed and what cost the game currently shows. Spend Mon if you meet the displayed requirement. The official information does not specify Jin’s exact cost, a minimum run count, or a guaranteed order in which characters unlock; do not rely on a guessed threshold or assume Jin must be the next character.

Jin being unavailable early is consistent with Most Wanted’s described progression. If the game indicates that you have met the unlock condition but Jin still does not appear, consult current official PlayStation or Sucker Punch support information and official patch notices for a confirmed remedy. The official sources cited here do not document a Jin-specific bug or a verified fix, so avoid treating unconfirmed community workarounds as established solutions.

Who Jin is in Most Wanted
PlayStation lists four playable characters: Atsu, Oyuki, Nagato, and Jin. Jin’s listed kit includes his katana and the four stances from Ghost of Tsushima, Sticky Bombs and a hankyu, Dance of Wrath as his Ultimate, and Ghost Stance as his Kill Streak. These details can help identify the Jin entry in character selection; they do not indicate when or how he unlocks.
