If a Haunted Floating Festival puzzle in Disney Dreamlight Valley won’t progress, first check whether it has unlocked and whether you have completed every clue-driven requirement, including any item, time-of-day, or weather condition. Gameloft’s 2026 announcement lists the event as running October 7–31, 2026, but does not identify a known festival progression bug or a universal fix. Check the current event announcement for dates and details.

Confirm the event is active and enter the festival
Gameloft’s current announcement gives the 2026 Haunted Floating Festival window as October 7–31, 2026. The access instructions in its 2025 event guide describe entering through the Plaza portal or using the event page’s Teleport control when available. Because those access details come from the previous year, check the current game for the exact route and labels.

Check whether that puzzle is available yet
The 2025 guide says festival puzzles can unlock at different times and advises players to return regularly. That is useful prior-year guidance, not a confirmed 2026 puzzle release schedule. If the objective appears unavailable or nothing responds, revisit the event later rather than assuming the puzzle is broken.

Re-read the objective and follow its clue
Look for the objects or resources named or implied by the in-game clue. Some requests may require leaving the festival island and searching the Valley. The 2025 guide also notes that certain items may appear only at night or during special weather, so check those conditions when the clue suggests them.

Complete the sequence and verify the interaction
Follow the objective’s instructions in order and make sure the relevant interaction registers before leaving the area. The official sources located do not give one exact sequence that applies to every puzzle, so use the current objective text and what the game displays as your guide.

If you have met the visible requirements and the objective remains stuck, contact Gameloft Support through the route linked from the official event guide. Include your platform, the puzzle name, the exact objective text, and what happens when you attempt the required interaction. These details can help explain the issue; they are practical suggestions, not stated formal support requirements. Do not apply fixes for a different festival
Gameloft has a Help Center article about a Winter Floating Festival memory orb that fell into an unreachable location. That article concerns a different festival and says the orb issue does not completely block event progression. It does not establish a fix for Haunted Floating Festival puzzles.
A community wiki also describes 2026 Haunted Festival mechanics, including a daily-feeding memory sequence and item dependencies. Treat that as secondary walkthrough information: compare its steps with your current objective and game state, rather than treating it as official guidance for a bug or guaranteed fix.

What is known about a Haunted Festival progression bug
Gameloft’s September 2026 announcement confirms the event’s return and dates, but does not identify a Haunted Festival progression bug or publish a universal workaround. The most useful distinction is whether an expected dependency is still unmet—such as unlock timing, a clue, a required item, or the right time or weather—or whether the objective remains blocked after you have satisfied its requirements. The latter is a reason to report the issue to support, not proof of a particular cause.
