Open Settings > Battery and review the usage graph or select View details, if available. Compare the apps shown with what you actually used. An app with unusually high use may need an update, a background-use restriction, or removal if you no longer need it. Menu names and available controls can differ. 3. Limit avoidable background activity
Run Settings > Device care > Optimize now, if that path is available. In Battery settings, look for Background usage limits and consider putting infrequently used apps to sleep.
Use deep sleep selectively: Samsung says deeply sleeping apps do not run in the background and work only when opened manually. That can delay notifications or stop background functions, so avoid deep-sleeping apps you rely on for timely alerts or ongoing activity.

4. Check conditions that can increase battery use
Weak or unstable mobile signal, 5G use, and heavy restoration or background activity are possible contributors to faster drain. Check whether the phone is repeatedly restoring data or spending time in a low-signal area. These conditions can increase power use, but none by itself establishes that an update has a defect. 6. Test for a downloaded app with Safe mode
