If your boAt Rockerz 421 Gen 2 will not connect or keeps dropping Bluetooth, start with the source device: enable Bluetooth, bring it close to the headphones, remove the old pairing entry, and try a fresh connection. If that does not help, compare it with another phone or computer before seeking support. Do not use button-hold reset instructions for the separate Rockerz 421 model as though they were confirmed for the Gen 2.
First, confirm the exact headphone model
Check the label or product information to confirm that you have the Rockerz 421 Gen 2. boAt lists the Rockerz 421 and Rockerz 421 Gen 2 separately. The support instructions available for Rockerz 421 are not confirmed instructions for Gen 2.
The Gen 2 product listing specifies Bluetooth 5.4, but that specification does not establish why a particular headset or phone is disconnecting. See boAt’s Rockerz 421 Gen 2 product listing.

- Check the source device. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone, tablet, or computer, and confirm that the device supports Bluetooth audio.
- Bring the devices close together. Keep the headphones and source device nearby while connecting. Move away from obvious obstructions and other sources of interference if possible. The 10 m range cited on boAt’s separate Rockerz 421 support page is not established as a Gen 2 specification.
- Remove the old pairing record. In the source device’s Bluetooth settings, select the Rockerz entry and choose the option to forget, remove, or unpair it. The label and menu path vary by device.
- Pair again using the Gen 2 guide. Put the headphones into pairing mode as described in the Rockerz 421 Gen 2 user guide, then select them from the source device’s available Bluetooth devices. Do not copy button timing or LED instructions from the older Rockerz 421 support page; the linked Gen 2 guide was not retrievable from the official product listing when checked.
Work out whether the headphones or source device is the problem
If the connection still fails or drops, test each side with another device:

- Try connecting the headphones to a different Bluetooth phone, tablet, or computer.
- Try connecting the original phone or computer to another Bluetooth audio device.
If the problem follows the headphones across source devices, share that result with boAt support. If it happens only with the original source, check that device’s Bluetooth settings and available software updates. These comparisons help narrow down the cause; they do not by themselves prove a hardware fault.
Why you should not copy the Rockerz 421 reset steps
boAt’s support page for the separately named Rockerz 421 describes clearing the headphones’ paired-device history by holding Volume + and Volume − together for five seconds, then power-cycling the headphones. That page is not confirmed Gen 2 guidance, so do not treat its reset sequence as a verified fix for Rockerz 421 Gen 2. The official Gen 2 listing links a user guide, but the guide’s reset procedure could not be verified. View boAt’s Rockerz 421 support page.

For the same reason, do not assume a factory reset will solve repeated disconnections. Follow the Gen 2 guide or ask boAt to confirm the correct button sequence for your exact model before attempting a reset.

Contact boAt if fresh pairing and cross-device checks do not resolve the issue, or if the Gen 2 guide does not explain how to re-enter pairing or reset the headphones. The official product listing provides boAt support as the route for warranty registration.

Include the exact model name, your phone or computer model and operating system, whether the headphones pair at all, how often they disconnect, and which checks you have tried. Avoid opening the headphones or assuming they have a hardware defect based only on failed Bluetooth pairing.
