To find crop-diversification support in Haryana, start with the live notices on Meri Fasal Mera Byora (MFMB), then check the state Agriculture and Horticulture departments and search SARAL Haryana for the named scheme or service. Confirm the current season’s rules before planting or applying: published incentive figures do not, by themselves, establish that a scheme is open or that a particular crop, district, or farmer qualifies.
Where to check for current schemes
Meri Fasal Mera Byora
The Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department describes Meri Fasal Mera Byora (MFMB) as a portal for farmer, field, and crop registration, government facilities, and agricultural information. Check its current-season notices and registration status. Notices and deadlines change: the page displayed Kharif 2026 registration and scheme deadlines when reviewed, so do not rely on an old deadline copied elsewhere.
Agriculture and Horticulture departments
Use the Haryana government directory to reach the Agriculture and Horticulture departments. Look for scheme notices and crop-specific guidance, and confirm that each notice applies to the current season and your district.
SARAL Haryana
SARAL Haryana is the state’s unified portal for applying for and tracking services and schemes. Search for the scheme or service by name and follow the application route shown there.

What published incentive figures say—and what they do not
A Haryana government publication reported that the incentive under Mera Pani-Meri Virasat for sowing alternative crops instead of paddy was raised from Rs. 7,000 to Rs. 8,000 per acre. It also reported an increase in the Direct Seeding of Rice incentive from Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 4,500 per acre. These are reported figures, not confirmation that the same rates or terms apply to every current applicant. The publication does not establish the complete current eligibility rules, qualifying alternative-crop list, application process, or current-season availability. Check the live scheme notice before making a crop or application decision.
Check the current notice before planting or applying
Use the scheme’s current official notice or service listing to verify the details that affect your decision. These are checks to make, not conditions established for every scheme:
Rank #2
- Whether the scheme is open for the current season and its application deadline.
- Whether your proposed alternative crop and district qualify.
- Whether your MFMB farmer, land, and crop records are complete and consistent.
- Which documents, inspection, or crop verification may be required.
- The applicable payment per acre, any area limit, payment timing, and whether the support can be combined with other schemes.
- Which department or help desk handles questions and corrections.
If information on a portal is unclear, contact the responsible department using the details provided on its official site before relying on a rate or deadline.
Horticulture support is a separate path
Haryana’s 2018 Agri-Business and Food Processing Policy discussed horticulture villages, infrastructure, and extension services as part of its diversification approach. It set a policy-era objective: “To encourage crop-diversification, the horticulture departments envisions to bring 14% of total cropped area under Horticulture crops to achieve optimum crop diversification by 2022.” That is a historical target with a 2022 date, not a current target or evidence that it was achieved. For present-day horticulture support, check current notices from the Horticulture Department rather than treating the old policy objective as an open subsidy.

Processing assistance is not a field-crop incentive
A separate Haryana notification dated 12 June 2019 concerns financial assistance to create, expand, or diversify eligible agro and food-processing units. It covers specified processing sectors and exclusions. This route may be relevant to a farmer, FPO, or business investing in value addition; it is different from an incentive for changing the crop grown in a field. Confirm with the department whether applications are currently available and whether the proposed unit and activity fall within the applicable rules.
