To start a bounty hunt in Cattle Country, find a Wanted Poster at the Sheriff’s building, accept the bounty, then search the wilderness for the wanted bandit. After taking down the target, return to Sheriff Tom to claim your reward. Bandit camps and store robberies are separate encounters with different discovery triggers.
How to start and complete a bounty hunt
- Go to the Sheriff’s building. Look for a Wanted Poster there.
- Pick up a bounty from the poster. This begins the hunt for that wanted bandit.
- Search the wilderness. Find and take down the target.
- Return to Sheriff Tom. Speak with him to claim the reward.
Playtonic Games’ 5 October 2026 Bandits & Bounties update announcement describes this loop but does not publish target coordinates, named search areas, target-specific clues, a spawn schedule, or a special tracking interface. It does not specify combat requirements or bounty reward amounts, so those details cannot be confirmed from the published guidance.

Where to find bandit camps
Bandit camps may appear as you explore the overworld, and they can contain plunder. This is an exploration-based discovery route, not the Wanted Poster bounty process. Playtonic does not list fixed camp locations or guarantee that a camp will appear at a particular time.
Are store robberies bounty targets?
Not according to the publisher’s description: random robberies and shootouts at the General Store, Butcher, Carpenter, and Bank are described separately from poster-based bounty hunts. Treat them as separate incidents; the announcement does not say that store robbers are bounty targets.

The update announcement identifies the Bandits & Bounties content as out on console as of 5 October 2026. Playtonic’s Cattle Country page links to Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox options. Steam lists the PC release date as 27 May 2025 and identifies Castle Pixel as developer and Playtonic Friends as publisher: Cattle Country on Steam.
