How to get to the Haunted Floating Festival
- Find the event portal in the Plaza and use it to travel to the island.
- Alternatively, open the event tab and select Teleport.
- To leave, use the Wishing Well or open the map. These routes are described in Disney Dreamlight Valley’s official 2025 event instructions.
The 2026 Season of Scares update notes say the festival returns October 7 and runs until October 31, with new and returning puzzles and seasonal decorations: official September 2026 update notes. The island is temporary, so finish its puzzles before the event ends. Check back during the event, since puzzles can unlock over time.
What to know before solving puzzles
- Some puzzles ask for items gathered in the Valley. The official event instructions warn that requested items may appear only at night or in special weather.
- Some Royal Tools may not be available on the island. Puzzle obstacles and some decorative elements can still be interacted with.
- DreamSnaps submissions are unavailable on the festival grounds.

1. Feed the Ghostly “Zero” Fox
Give the Ghostly “Zero” Fox a Haunted Skeleton Fish. The community guide reports that the fox awards one event-memory piece per day, so return on four separate days to complete the memory.
2. Solve the Combination Pillar
Find four green symbols around the island and use the nearby pumpkin counts to match them to Roman numerals. Enter the symbols in this reported order: spider web, bat, witch hat, cat.

3. Make the Terror-rific Tree offering
The guide reports that the tree asks for 20 Haunted Crow Feathers, 15 Haunted Skeleton Fish, and 10 Haunted White Roses. It says these items spawn on the event island.

5. Answer the Haunted Mansion armor quiz
Answer the mansion armor’s four questions correctly to receive Haunted Armor. For the question about the Ghostly “Zero” Fox’s favorite food, the guide gives Blue Skele-Fish as the answer.
6. Find and place the Lost Magic Page
Use a Repaired Haunted Key to access the haunted house’s back room, then solve the combination puzzle there. The reward is a Lost Magic Page; place it in the nearby bookstand.

7. Return the Missing Books
Move the four books to their matching shelves around the house. Then complete the event memory puzzle.

8. Open the Basement Door
In the back room, use the Pickaxe on the lion statue and collect the Eerie Basement Door Key. Take it to the island’s basement door and use it to unlock the entrance.

9. Final puzzle: not yet confirmed
The community guide lists a ninth puzzle as planned for October 18, 2026, but had no solution available in its October 7 crawl. The official update notes confirm the event’s puzzles generally, not this specific date or the puzzle’s answer. Treat this puzzle as pending rather than relying on an unverified solution.

The guide says the Terror-rific Tree’s three offerings spawn on the event island. The Potion Brewer’s House recipe, by contrast, includes Catfish and Swordfish alongside event ingredients. The official event instructions caution that some requested items may only be available at night or in special weather, so check Valley conditions if you cannot find an ingredient. The available sources do not specify the fishing location or exact spawn conditions for each recipe ingredient.
Rewards and unlock timing
The official sources describe exclusive puzzle rewards and seasonal decorations, but do not give a complete official 2026 reward list. The community guide names rewards including the Haunted Festival Dress, Haunted Armor, Decorative Magic Seal, Chomping Chest, and Eerie Basement Door; treat that item list as community-reported rather than an official inventory.
Do not apply the 2025 puzzle-release dates to the 2026 event. The 2025 announcement staged three puzzles for October 22, the Potion Brewer’s House for October 29, and the Haunted Mansion for November 5, but those dates belong to the previous event. The 2026 official update gives the event window and says puzzles return, while the community guide reports eight available at launch and a ninth planned for October 18.
