To find a voice memo on your Galaxy S22, open Voice Recorder and select the saved recording. To send it, touch and hold the recording, tap Share, then choose an available destination. If it is not listed in the app, look in My Files.
Find a recording in Voice Recorder
- Open the Voice Recorder app.
- Select the saved recording you want. Tap Play to check that it is the right memo.
Voice Recorder is the first place to look for memos made with that app. Samsung’s guidance is for Galaxy phones generally, not a walkthrough verified against every Galaxy S22 software build, so labels or layouts on your phone may differ. Samsung’s instructions note that menus and paths can vary by device model, software version, or app version.
Share a voice recording
- In Voice Recorder, touch and hold the recording you want to send.
- Tap Share.
- Choose a destination from the sharing options shown on your phone and follow its prompts.
Look in My Files if the recording is missing
Samsung’s documented file route is My Files > Internal storage > Recordings > Voice Recorder. Open the file from that folder to access the recording. If the labels differ, look for the closest equivalent; the path may vary with software and app versions. Samsung confirms that voice recordings can also be found through My Files in its Galaxy voice-recording guide.

If Voice Recorder is not installed
Samsung says Voice Recorder can be downloaded from the Galaxy Store if it is missing from the phone. Recordings made with a different recorder app may be stored in a different folder, so check that app or its settings for the save location rather than assuming the Voice Recorder folder applies.
#1 Best Overall
- The S22 uses a flat (non‑curved) 6.1-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with adaptive 120 Hz refresh that dynamically adjusts between 48 – 120 Hz depending on content — which means smoother scrolling and better battery efficiency when high refresh isn’t needed.
- Its main rear camera features a 50 MP sensor with what Samsung calls “Tetra‑binning,” delivering stronger detail in bright light and surprisingly good low‑light photos compared to many older flagships.
- The build quality is designed to feel premium and durable: it uses an Armor Aluminum frame combined with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ on front and back, which gives better scratch and drop resistance — nice if you want a relatively compact but rugged flagship.
- For video content and editing, the S22 supports 8K recording — rare for a “smaller” flagship. That means you can shoot very high-resolution video, useful if you care about future‑proofing footage or cropping/editing later.
- The phone strikes a balance of compactness and performance — in a world of increasingly large phones, the S22 remains fairly pocket‑friendly while still packing the 4 nm flagship‑class chipset (Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Exynos 2200 depending on region) for smooth daily performance.
If you mean a phone-call recording
A call recording is a separate case from a voice memo. Samsung’s guidance notes that call-recording options and menus can differ by region and device; only look for a call-recording area in the Samsung Phone app if that option is available on your S22.
