How to Find and Download PS Plus Game Catalog Games

On PS5, open PlayStation Plus from the Games home screen, then go to Benefits > Game Catalog. On PS4, open PlayStation Plus from the function screen and select Game Catalog. Choose an eligible title and select Download. Access requires a qualifying PlayStation Plus membership, and catalog games are not the same as Monthly Games you add to your library.

Find and download a catalog game on PS5

From the Games home screen, scroll right and select PlayStation Plus.
Open the Benefits tab and select Game Catalog.
Select an eligible game, then choose Download.

Find and download a catalog game on PS4

From the function screen, scroll right and select PlayStation Plus.
Scroll down and select Game Catalog.
Select an eligible game and choose Download.

Which PlayStation Plus plan includes the Game Catalog?

PlayStation’s US access guide identifies PlayStation Plus Extra as providing access to the Game Catalog. PlayStation Plus Premium includes access to the Game Catalog and Classics Catalog. A catalog listing is subscription access, not a permanent retail purchase; you need a suitable active plan to download catalog games. Catalog games and Monthly Games use different flows

For a Game Catalog title, choose the eligible listing and select Download. Monthly Games have a separate process: on PS5, find them in the Benefits tab and select Download; on PS4, select Add to Library > Download. So if by “claim” you mean adding a Monthly Game to your account, use the Monthly Games flow rather than treating a catalog download as the same action.

Can you stream a catalog game instead?

Some catalog titles can be streamed when the plan, game, and region support streaming. PlayStation’s US support guidance lists a minimum broadband speed of 5 Mbps for catalog streaming. For 1080p streaming, it specifies at least 15 Mbps and a game that supports that resolution; if the connection drops below that threshold, resolution may decrease. These are Sony-published service requirements, not independent test results. Check the individual game’s options and current console guidance before relying on streaming.

Streaming has restrictions: Remote Play, Share Play, and Share Screen are unavailable while streaming, and some devices or peripherals may not be supported. A download instead uses console storage; Sony’s cited guidance does not specify a storage amount, so check the game’s listing and available space on your console.

Check title availability and account sharing

Catalog inventory changes, and inclusion can depend on your region and eligibility. Check the current catalog on your console or through PlayStation’s catalog guide rather than assuming a particular game is available everywhere.

Sony says selected PlayStation Plus benefits can be shared while the subscriber uses one PS5 with Console Sharing and Offline Play enabled, and one PS4 activated as the primary PS4.
