Meet the robot at the drop-off point shown in your Deliveroo app—not necessarily at your address. When the app says it has arrived, open it through the app, take your order, and close the lid before the Collection Window expires.
Before you place a robot-delivery order
Robot Delivery is available only in selected locations, from selected partners and for selected menu items. The app shows the drop-off point before you place the order. Check that point carefully: it is a safe, accessible place outside your entered address that the delivery provider can reach, and it may not be your door. Deliveroo’s UK terms say availability can also depend on weather and road conditions. Age-restricted and regulated items, including medicines, are not available through Robot Delivery.
Only choose this option if you can get to the displayed point and collect the order yourself. Deliveroo advises customers who cannot reach it because of mobility issues not to select robot delivery. If the point is unsuitable, choose the partner’s usual menu for rider delivery instead.

How to find and collect your order
- Watch for the on-the-way notice. Deliveroo says it will notify you in the app when the robot is on its way. Go to the drop-off point shown for your order.
- Wait for the arrival notice. The Collection Window starts when Deliveroo notifies you that the robot has arrived. The app shows how much time remains; there is no single wait duration stated for every order.
- Open the robot using the app. Follow the app to open it, then remove only your own order. Deliveroo’s terms state: “You must meet the robot at the drop-off point and collect your Items yourself.”
- Close the lid and finish promptly. Make sure the lid is shut before you leave, and collect before the on-screen timer runs out.
If you cannot collect or something goes wrong
You cannot reach the drop-off point
If you discover that you cannot collect, use the partner’s usual menu for rider delivery and contact Deliveroo through the app for help arranging this. Do not assume the robot will bring the order to your door.

Where Deliveroo robot delivery is being introduced in the UK
In an announcement dated 5 October 2026, Deliveroo said its exclusive UK partnership with Coco Robotics would begin in Canary Wharf in October, followed by Milton Keynes, Leeds, Stockton-on-Tees, and Nottingham in the coming weeks and months. Deliveroo named Patty&Bun, Signorelli, and Beam as initial merchant examples in Wood Wharf, Canary Wharf, and Ole & Steen, Royal China, and Din Tai Fung as possible participants in a later expansion stage. These are announced rollout plans, not a guarantee that the service is live for every customer or order in those places; check what the app offers for your specific order. Read Deliveroo’s partnership announcement.
The announcement describes Coco robots as electric, moving at walking pace and using onboard sensors, cameras, and AI-driven navigation. It also says Coco will share real-time pavement-hazard data with BlindSquare to help alert blind and partially sighted pedestrians to obstacles. Those partner-described features do not change the pickup process or establish that a particular route is accessible.
