To find apps installed on your iPhone, swipe left past every Home Screen page to open the App Library. Search by name or browse its alphabetical list. If an app is missing, check Home Screen Search and, on iOS 18 or later, the authenticated Hidden folder: apps you deliberately hide do not appear in App Library or ordinary Search.
Find apps in the App Library

On the Home Screen, swipe left through your pages until you reach the App Library.

Tap the search field at the top and enter the app’s name. You can also scroll through the alphabetical list of apps. Tap an app to open it.

If you see category tiles instead of a full list, tap a tile to expand it and view its smaller app icons.

App Library includes apps removed from the Home Screen, so removing an icon is not the same as deleting the app. Apple describes the library as showing apps organized into categories. Apple Support
If an app does not appear
Search from the Home Screen
Swipe down from the middle of the Home Screen and search for the app. On iOS 16 and later, you can also tap the Search field at the bottom of the Home Screen. Search can locate apps on hidden Home Screen pages.

Check for a hidden Home Screen page
A hidden page does not hide or delete the apps on it. Those apps remain in App Library and can be found with Search. To show a page again, use the Home Screen page controls to select it.

Check the Hidden area in iOS 18 or later
An app hidden with the iPhone’s Hide App feature is excluded from both App Library and ordinary Search. Open the Hidden folder in App Library and authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode. Apple also lists hidden apps under Settings > Apps > Hidden Apps; authentication is required there as well.

Download it again if it is not listed
If the app is missing from App Library and the Hidden area, it may have been deleted. Search for it in the App Store and download it again if it is available.
Know what “missing” means

Choose where new downloads appear
To change the default location for future app downloads, open Settings > Home Screen & App Library and choose Add to Home Screen or App Library Only. Apple notes that hiding Home Screen pages can also result in new downloads going to App Library rather than the Home Screen.
