To make a Galaxy M08 or F08 last longer between charges, first check which apps are using the most battery, restrict background activity for apps you rarely use, reduce screen brightness and timeout, and turn on Power saving when you need the remaining charge to go further. Keep the phone cool, too. These steps can reduce avoidable drain, but no setting guarantees a fixed number of extra hours.
Start by finding what is using the battery
- Open Settings and look for Battery. Depending on the software version, it may be under Device care or Battery and device care. If you do not see it, search Settings for “Battery.”
- Review the battery graph or usage list. Look for an app using an unexpectedly large share of power, particularly when you have not been actively using it.
- If the drain started recently, note whether it followed an app installation, software update, extended time in a weak-signal area, or exposure to heat. That context can help distinguish a settings issue from a temporary cause.
Samsung recommends checking high battery use and managing background apps, but its general Galaxy instructions are not a tested M08/F08 walkthrough. Menu names and options can differ by software build, carrier, and region.
Limit background use without missing important alerts
Samsung’s sleeping-app controls can limit background activity for apps you rarely use. Find the app-management or battery options in Settings and use the available sleeping-app controls; search Settings for “Sleeping apps” or “Background usage limits” if the labels differ.

Background limits can defer syncing or notifications. Check your phone’s behavior after changing an app’s status, and remove essential apps from those limits if alerts arrive late.

Turn on Power saving when you need a longer stretch
On Samsung’s general instructions, the path is Settings > Battery > Power saving. You may also find a Power saving control in the Quick panel. The exact path and available controls can vary by software version.
Power saving reduces background activity and limits selected features to conserve the current charge. Depending on the options enabled, it may restrict background data or location, and syncing or notifications may be delayed. If the battery is very low, Maximum power saving applies stronger restrictions and simplifies the home screen; use it when preserving basic phone use matters more than normal convenience.
Reduce screen use and other heavy workloads
Make the display use less power
- Lower brightness to a level you can comfortably see.
- Enable adaptive brightness if it is available and suits your use.
- Shorten screen timeout so the display turns off sooner when idle.
- Turn the screen off when you put the phone down rather than leaving it awake.
These are general Android battery-saving measures; display settings and labels can vary.

Ease off demanding features when charge is scarce
Long GPS navigation sessions, hotspot tethering, video streaming, camera use, and graphics-heavy games can draw more power. Reduce or pause those activities when you need to stretch a low charge. Airplane mode can help where cellular connectivity is unnecessary, but it disconnects the phone from mobile service.
Use an efficiency profile only if your phone offers it
Some Samsung phones provide a Light performance mode intended to prioritize battery efficiency and cooling over processing speed for everyday tasks. Samsung says the cited mode does not reduce game performance, but its availability is model- and software-dependent; do not assume the option appears on every M08 or F08 build.
Keep the phone cool and protect long-term battery health
Google’s Android Help says, “Your battery drains much faster when it’s hot, even when not in use.” Keep the phone out of hot environments and stop demanding tasks if the device becomes unusually warm. Heat can accelerate drain and damage the battery.

Battery protection is a separate concern from getting more hours out of today’s charge. Samsung UK’s guidance suggests aiming for approximately 20–80% when convenient and says there is no need to wait for the battery to run completely down before charging. Treat that as optional long-term care, not a strict rule or a promise of extra runtime; protection settings and their behavior vary by software.
What the M08 and F08 battery specifications tell you
Samsung India’s product listings for the Galaxy M08 LTE and F08 LTE each specify a 6,000 mAh typical battery and a 5,830 mAh rated minimum. Both list USB Type-C and support for 25W wired charging; Samsung says the 25W charger is sold separately. These are India-listed configurations, so check the local Samsung product page for specifications in another market.
The listed capacity does not translate into a guaranteed number of hours. Samsung says actual battery life varies with factors such as network environment, usage patterns, features and apps, calls and messages, and charge history. The available product information does not establish a measured runtime comparison between the M08 and F08 or a specific gain from any setting.

A compatible USB-C 25W charger can support charging speed and convenience, but it does not make the phone last longer on a charge. Check regional plug and charging compatibility before buying one.
If battery drain still seems abnormal
- Install available system and app updates, then restart the phone. Samsung says software updates may include battery-performance optimizations.
- Recheck the usage list after normal use. If one app stands out, update it, limit its background activity, or uninstall it if you do not need it.
- If the phone loses charge unusually quickly while idle, or the problem persists after checking apps and updates, contact Samsung support or an authorized service provider for assessment.
The M08 and F08 have non-removable batteries, so do not open the phone or install an unverified loose replacement cell.
