How to Edit Text, Images, and Pages in a PDF with SwifDoo PDF Pro

In SwifDoo PDF, use Edit > Edit to change selectable text, Edit > Insert Text to add text, and the Image command to place or adjust an image. Use the page tools to crop, replace, delete, extract, rotate, or reorder pages. If the PDF is a scan and its text cannot be selected, run OCR before attempting text edits.

Edit existing text

1. Open the PDF in SwifDoo PDF.

2. Choose Edit > Edit. SwifDoo’s support guide says editable text appears in gray boxes; click the paragraph or text block you want to change.

3. Edit the text or its formatting. The guide lists font, color, line spacing, and alignment among the available properties.

4. Choose a mode that matches the document’s layout:

   • Block: treats text as a block.

   • Paragraph: separates paragraphs.

   • Line: treats each line as a block.

   • Object: separates letters or words into objects.

5. Save the PDF with the Save command or Ctrl+S.

You can edit selectable text directly; converting the PDF to Word first is not the only route.

Add text to a PDF

1. Choose Edit > Insert Text.

2. Click where the new text should appear and type. The support guide also describes selecting an existing paragraph area to add text.

3. Adjust the font or size as needed, then save the PDF.

Insert or adjust images

1. Choose the Image command and select an image file.

2. Click the desired location in the PDF to place it.

3. Adjust its size, rotation, or transparency as needed. These image adjustments are listed on SwifDoo’s PDF editing page.

4. Save your changes.

Change the PDF’s pages

Use the relevant page tool for the structural change you need. SwifDoo’s how-to page lists these page operations:

• Delete: remove a page.

• Extract: take pages out into a separate document.

• Rotate: change a page’s orientation.

• Reorder: change the sequence of pages.

Before applying a page operation, check the selected page or range so the change affects the intended pages.

Run OCR before editing a scanned PDF

A scanned PDF may contain page images instead of selectable text. Choose Edit > OCR and apply text recognition to make the scanned content searchable and editable. SwifDoo’s product page documents this workflow but does not report OCR accuracy measurements. Check recognized text against the scan before relying on it, particularly for names, numbers, or other details where a recognition error matters.
