Netflix games install as separate apps through Google Play on Android or the App Store on iPhone and iPad. You can find them through Netflix or search for them in your device’s app store. Before deleting a game, check whether it supports cloud saves: removing a game that stores progress only on your device can permanently erase that progress.
What you need before downloading a Netflix game
- An active Netflix membership, an internet connection for downloading and installing, enough free device storage, and a compatible phone or tablet are required. Netflix does not give one universal storage-size requirement; needs vary by game and device. Netflix’s mobile games help page has general information.
- Netflix recommends Android 9, iOS 17, and iPadOS 17 or later for the best experience across games. These are general recommendations, not guarantees that every title will work; check the individual game’s Netflix support page for its requirements.
- A game may not appear for a Netflix profile if its maturity setting is below the game’s rating. Device compatibility can also affect whether you can download it.
How to download Netflix games
Android phone or tablet
- Open Netflix and look for the Mobile Games row or Games shortcut. Choose a game and tap Get Game to open its Google Play listing.
- In Google Play, tap Install. Accept any requested permissions, then tap Open when installation finishes.
- Alternatively, search for the game by name in Google Play and tap Install. If prompted, sign in to Netflix and select a profile.
- After installation, launch the game from its icon in the app drawer or from Netflix.
iPhone or iPad
- Open Netflix, find the Mobile Games row, and choose a title. Tap Get Game or Play Game to open its App Store listing.
- Tap Get or the cloud-download icon in the App Store. You can also search for the game directly in the App Store and download it there.
- Open the installed game. If prompted, sign in to Netflix and select a profile.
- Launch it later from Netflix’s Mobile Games row or from your device’s Home Screen.
Netflix games are standalone apps, so installing or launching one is separate from installing the Netflix app itself. See Netflix’s download and play instructions for its current steps.
Why you can’t find or install a Netflix game
- The Games row or shortcut is missing: Update the Netflix app and check again. A title may also be hidden from a profile whose maturity setting is below the game’s rating.
- The app store says the game is incompatible: Check the game’s own Netflix support page for its required device and operating-system versions. Netflix’s general OS recommendations do not guarantee compatibility for a specific title.
- The download will not complete: Confirm you have an internet connection and enough free storage. There is no single published storage amount that applies to all Netflix games.
How to delete a Netflix game
Netflix games are removed through your device’s app-management controls, not from inside Netflix. The steps differ by platform. Netflix explains this in its game deletion instructions.

Android
- Open Google Play and search for the game.
- Open the game’s listing, tap Uninstall, and confirm if prompted.
iPhone or iPad
- Touch and hold the game’s icon on the Home Screen.
- Tap Remove App, then Delete App.
- Confirm by tapping Delete.
Will deleting a Netflix game erase your progress?
It can. Some games save progress to your Netflix profile through cloud saves; other games store progress locally on the device. For a cloud-save game, progress is associated with the Netflix profile. For a game without cloud saves, uninstalling it, clearing its data, or deleting the Netflix profile may permanently erase progress. Check the game’s Netflix support page for its save details before removing it. Netflix describes the distinction in its game save-data guidance.

How to free up space or troubleshoot performance
Free up device storage
Check your device’s available storage, then consider removing apps you no longer use or deleting pictures and videos you do not need. If you plan to remove a game, check its save support first so you do not lose local-only progress.
Clear an Android game’s cache
If an Android game is having a performance problem, Netflix recommends clearing its cache and restarting the game. Menu names can vary by Android device.

- Open Settings > Apps > App Info.
- Select the game, then open Storage.
- Tap Clear cache, then restart the game.
Do not treat Clear data as the same as Clear cache: clearing game data can delete local-only progress. See Netflix’s performance and storage steps.
