To download a game on a Tesla, put the vehicle in Park, open Arcade or Entertainment on the touchscreen, select an available game, and follow the download option shown. The exact menu and game catalog depend on the vehicle, market, configuration, and software version.
Download a game from Tesla Arcade
- Park the vehicle. Tesla describes Arcade games as an entertainment feature to use while parked.
- Open the game menu. On the touchscreen, open the app launcher and choose Arcade or Entertainment. Some manuals use Entertainment for the broader menu and show Arcade as a tab.
- Select a game. Browse the titles offered for your vehicle and choose one. If a download action appears, select it and wait for the download to finish before playing. The wording and available options can differ between vehicles.
- Start the game. Follow its on-screen instructions. Some games use steering-wheel buttons; select games also support compatible USB or Bluetooth Classic controllers.
For instructions matched to your car, open the Owner’s Manual on the touchscreen at Controls > Service > Owner’s Manual. Tesla says this manual reflects the vehicle’s configuration, features, market, and software version. See Tesla’s online Owner’s Manuals as well.
Find Arcade if the menu is different
Tesla manuals may call the broader entertainment area Entertainment and place Arcade games in a tab; other interfaces may present Arcade directly. The game library and feature availability are not identical across all Teslas. Tesla says they can vary by market region, manufacturing date, vehicle configuration, and software version.

If Arcade or a game is missing, check the vehicle’s own Owner’s Manual and the software screen at Controls > Software for the current version and any update notification. Tesla software updates are delivered over the air, and the vehicle needs to remain connected to Wi-Fi while an update downloads. This general update guidance does not mean every game download follows the same process.

Reinstall a game you removed
If you uninstalled a game to free onboard storage, find it again in Arcade and download it before playing. Tesla’s Model S Owner’s Manual, in “Uninstall Games,” says: “Once you uninstall a game, you must download it before you can play the game again.”
Use a controller only if the game supports it
A controller is optional: Tesla says select games support Bluetooth Classic and USB controllers, while other games may use steering-wheel controls. Before buying or connecting one, check the specific game’s support, the controller’s connection type, and compatibility with your vehicle. USB port locations and controller guidance can vary by model and build date, so use the touchscreen manual for your car.

Older Model S and Model X infotainment options
Tesla says owners of Model S and Model X vehicles built in March 2018 or earlier may be eligible for its Infotainment Upgrade, which includes an expanded Tesla Arcade and gamepad compatibility. Keep gameplay for when the vehicle is parked
Use Tesla entertainment features while parked. The available games and instructions can differ from one vehicle to another; the touchscreen Owner’s Manual is the best guide to the features configured for your car.
