To download images from one page in Firefox, install the Download All Images add-on from Mozilla Add-ons, open the page, launch the add-on, review its image gallery, select the images you want, and save them. Its listing says it can find images in nested iframes, links, background scripts, and CSS files, and filter results by size, dimensions, URL, or type. It is a page-level tool—not a guarantee that every image on an entire site, or content not yet loaded, will be found.
Download images from a page in Firefox
Firefox’s built-in image context menu is useful for saving one image at a time. For a batch, the documented workflow in this guide is the Download All Images extension. It presents images for review before you save, so you can narrow the results instead of blindly downloading every match.
- Install the extension. Find Download All Images on Mozilla Add-ons and use its Add to Firefox flow. Mozilla’s help also describes finding add-ons through Extensions and Themes. If you want quick access, pin the installed extension to the toolbar.
- Prepare the page. Open the page that contains the pictures. Scroll through it and open any relevant gallery, tabs, or expandable sections so the content you want is loaded or visible before you start.
- Open Download All Images. Use the extension from the toolbar or the browser’s extensions controls. Review the gallery it displays; do not assume every result is a picture you intend to keep.
- Narrow the results. Use the available filters for file size, dimensions, URL, or image type. Select the images you need, then choose the add-on’s save action.
- Find the downloaded files. The add-on listing says selected images go to Firefox’s default download directory or a subfolder you specify. Check Firefox’s Downloads settings if you need to confirm the destination or change whether Firefox asks where to save each file.
The add-on’s listing describes a gallery and image-finding capabilities, but it does not establish that it will retrieve every image on every page. Treat the gallery as a set of candidates to inspect. If a particular image is important, confirm it appears in the results and that its saved file opens correctly.
What the add-on can find—and what to load first
Download All Images is intended for extracting images associated with the current page. Its listing says it can detect images in nested iframes and can find images in links, background scripts, and CSS files. That scope is broader than only clicking visible image elements, but it still does not mean the extension can reach content that the page has not made available to the browser.

Pages with lazy loading or galleries
Some pages load image content as you scroll or after you open a gallery. Before opening the extension, scroll to the relevant part of the page and interact with the controls needed to reveal the images. This is a practical precaution, not a promise that all lazy-loaded or interaction-gated content will appear: the add-on listing does not guarantee coverage of every loading method.
One page is not an entire website
The described workflow operates on the page you have open. It is not documented as a crawler that visits every page on a domain. If a site has several galleries or pages, expect to work through each page that contains images you want rather than treating one run as a site-wide archive.
Use filters to make a manageable selection
Filters help distinguish useful assets from small thumbnails, icons, or unrelated image files. Dimensions and file size can help identify likely full-size images; URL and type can help narrow by naming pattern or format. These are selection aids, not a guarantee about visual quality or intended use. Preview the candidates in the gallery when possible, especially when several files have similar names or dimensions.

Choose and check the download location
The add-on listing says it saves selected files to Firefox’s default download directory or to a specified subfolder. Firefox’s own Downloads settings control the download folder and whether the browser asks where to save files. To check the current behavior, open Firefox Settings and look for the Downloads controls; the exact controls can vary by Firefox version.

- If files seem to have disappeared, open Firefox’s Downloads list and use it to locate the saved items.
- If you want downloads separated from ordinary files, set or choose a dedicated folder before saving.
- If Firefox is configured to ask for a destination, complete the save prompt for the selected files rather than assuming the extension has finished silently.
After saving, open a few files from the destination folder. This verifies that the files exist and are readable; a gallery selection alone does not prove that every download completed successfully.
Review permissions before installing
As shown in the Mozilla Add-ons listing recorded in 2026, the extension requests permission to download files, read and modify download history, display notifications, and access data for all websites. Website access is broad: review whether that scope is appropriate for your use before installing. Mozilla explains that extensions are installed through Firefox’s add-on flow and can be managed in the Add-ons Manager.
The Mozilla Add-ons listing snapshot recorded 105,798 users and 3.9 stars from 655 reviews in 2026. It listed version 0.8.6, last updated June 30, 2026. Those are changeable listing details, not a test of accuracy, safety, or compatibility with a particular site or Firefox setup. Check the current listing for the latest version, permissions, and user feedback before you install.
Firefox’s built-in options versus bulk extraction
Firefox’s ordinary image context menu is suited to saving an individual image. Mozilla’s save-content help covers saving a whole web page for offline reading; that is different from extracting a selected batch of image files. For bulk image selection from one page, the add-on workflow above is the documented approach in this guide.

If you only need a single visible picture, right-click it and use Firefox’s image-saving option rather than installing an extension. If you need a collection, the extension’s gallery and filters give you a way to review the candidates first. Neither route should be treated as permission to reuse images: download access and copyright or licensing rights are separate issues.
Troubleshooting common problems
The add-on does not appear on the toolbar
Confirm that installation completed through the Add to Firefox flow. If the icon is not visible, open Firefox’s extensions controls and pin the extension to the toolbar. Mozilla describes add-ons as manageable through the Add-ons Manager.
The gallery misses images you expected
First scroll the page and open the relevant tabs, galleries, or expandable sections, then launch the add-on again. Its listing describes page-level detection and several image sources, but does not promise access to every image on a page. If the target still is not listed, the page may not have exposed it in a way the add-on detects, or the content may be outside the current page.
There are too many unrelated results
Use the gallery filters for dimensions, file size, URL, and image type, then inspect the candidates before saving. A page can contain decorative graphics and other images alongside the photos you want, so selecting everything may create unnecessary files.

The files are not where you expected
Check Firefox’s Downloads list, then verify the download folder in Settings. The add-on listing describes the default download directory or a chosen subfolder; Firefox can also ask where to save. If a destination prompt is open, finish that prompt before searching the folder.
The extension asks for broad access
Access to data for all websites is among the permissions listed for this add-on. If you are not comfortable with that permission, do not install it; use Firefox’s single-image save option for individual pictures instead. Review the current permission list, since extension details can change.
