To stop a current stream, disconnect the Vizio soundbar in the Bluetooth settings of the phone, tablet, or computer that is streaming. That stops playback from that device, but it may not prevent a previously paired device from reconnecting. Vizio’s controls vary by soundbar model, so check the model number before trying model-specific steps.
Disconnect the device that is streaming now
On the device currently playing audio, open Bluetooth settings, select the Vizio soundbar, and choose the option to disconnect. Vizio documents this method in the SV200M-0805 manual. The manual also says that only one paired device can stream at a time on this model.
If you have the SV200M-0805 and want a different device to take over playback, hold the soundbar’s Bluetooth button for two seconds, release it, then connect the device you want to use. This switches the active streaming device; it is not an instruction to turn Bluetooth off or block a particular person.
Unpair your own phone from the soundbar
For the SV210D-0806, Vizio’s manual describes an Unpair Device action in the Vizio Mobile app. If you use iOS, the manual says to also unpair the soundbar in the iPhone’s Bluetooth settings. See Vizio’s SV210D-0806 manual for the model-specific procedure.

Vizio Mobile provides device controls, but the available actions depend on the soundbar. Check Vizio’s Vizio Mobile Device Control information and your soundbar’s manual rather than assuming another model has the same unpair option.
If the same person can reconnect
If you can access the other person’s phone or computer, remove the soundbar from that device’s saved Bluetooth connections. Otherwise, check the manual for your exact model for a Bluetooth-disable control, pairing reset, pairing timeout, or paired-device removal procedure.

The reviewed Vizio instructions do not establish a universal Bluetooth-off switch, named-device blocklist, or way to erase another person’s saved pairing on every Vizio soundbar. Disconnecting your own phone, or unpairing it through the app, does not prove that somebody else’s pairing has been removed.
Find your Vizio soundbar model number
Look for the model number on the soundbar’s product label, or check whether it appears in the Vizio Mobile app. Then use the manual for that model. The procedures above apply only to the SV200M-0805 and SV210D-0806; they should not be assumed to work on older soundbars or other models. Vizio’s product pages identify these examples as the SV200M-0805 and SV210D-0806.
