What Chrome history deletion does not guarantee
Google says Chrome History lists pages visited in the last 90 days. Deleting entries from Chrome history is not a guarantee that every record of a visit has disappeared: Google’s instructions do not establish whether copies remain with websites, networks, or an organization’s administrator. Google’s History guidance describes Chrome’s history controls and scope.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Check the Chrome profile you are using
Chrome profiles keep browsing history and other Chrome information separate. If you use different profiles for work and personal browsing, make sure you are in the intended profile before deleting history; deletion in one profile should not be treated as clearing every other profile. Google supports profile separation on iPhone and iPad. Google’s profile guidance explains how profiles separate Chrome information.
