To convert a Worlds match time, use the date and time zone shown on Riot’s current schedule, convert that time to UTC, then apply your location’s UTC offset for the same date. Check the local calendar date too: a match listed in one time zone may start the following day where you live.
For Worlds 2026, Riot lists match starts in multiple time zones. The event runs October 15–November 14, and the schedule spans daylight-saving changes in both the United States and Europe. Use the row for the match date rather than relying on a saved offset.

Convert a Worlds match time in five steps
- Find the match date and start time. Open Riot’s Worlds 2026 Primer or its venue event policies page, and locate the relevant stage and date. Riot notes that broadcast start times have been updated, so use the current official listing.
- Copy the source time-zone label exactly. For example, PDT and PST are different, as are CDT and CST, and CEST and CET. Do not treat an abbreviation as if its offset were constant year-round.
- Look up both UTC offsets for the match date. The source zone and your destination zone may use different daylight-saving schedules. If you use a converter or calendar, enter a city or region rather than an ambiguous abbreviation such as “CST.”
- Convert through UTC. Subtract the source zone’s signed UTC offset from the listed time, then add your destination zone’s signed UTC offset.
- Check whether the result crosses midnight. If it does, the match is on the next or previous local calendar date. Confirm the converted date as well as the clock time.
The formula is: destination local time = source local time − source UTC offset + destination UTC offset. Treat offsets as signed numbers: UTC−7 is −7, and UTC+1 is +1.
Example: Play-Ins on October 15
Riot lists Play-Ins at 11:00 AM PDT. PDT is UTC−7 in October, so 11:00 AM becomes 18:00 UTC. In a location that is UTC+1 on October 15, the match is at 7:00 PM local time on October 15.

Why the correct date matters for daylight saving
Time-zone labels can change when clocks move between daylight and standard time. NIST gives Central Daylight Time (CDT) as UTC−5 and Central Standard Time (CST) as UTC−6; they are not interchangeable. In 2026, U.S. daylight saving time runs from March 8 at 2 a.m. until November 1 at 2 a.m. local time. That means October match listings in U.S. daylight-time zones and November listings in standard-time zones require different offsets.

Europe also changes during the event. Riot’s schedule uses CEST on October 23–24 and CET from October 25 onward. A conversion based on the October 24 offset may therefore be wrong for a later match, even if the destination city has not changed.

NIST explains that local time is based on an offset from UTC and that daylight-saving adjustments affect the offset. See its daylight-saving time rules and local time FAQs for details.
