Start with Rockstar Games Support, select the affected game or service, then choose the category and problem details that match your issue. Review the suggested help article; if it does not solve the problem, sign in to your Rockstar Games account and submit a support request. Depending on the issue, Rockstar may offer email, chat, or a callback request, and its contact guidance says support is available 24/7.
The correct destination depends on what is missing and where you paid. Rockstar handles undelivered, damaged, or defective items bought through the Rockstar Games Store, and investigates missing in-game content or progress. A purchase made through PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, Epic, Apple, Google, Nintendo, or another retailer must generally be disputed with that storefront instead.
Use Rockstar’s support flow first
Open the official Rockstar Games Support site and work through the product selector rather than sending a general message. Rockstar’s Customer Support article, How Can I Contact Rockstar Games Support (updated May 20, 2024), gives this instruction: “Select a game or service, then select the relevant category and problem details for the issue type you are experiencing.”

- Select the game or service. Choose the title, online service, or store area connected to the problem.
- Select the issue category. Pick the closest option, such as a missing item, purchase problem, account issue, or technical problem.
- Choose the detailed problem type. The site may first show a help article or troubleshooting steps.
- Read and try the offered solution. If the issue remains, follow the prompt to sign in and submit a request. The available contact method can vary by issue and may include email, chat, or a request for a phone callback.
Support availability is stated as 24/7 in Rockstar’s contact guidance. That does not guarantee an instant reply or the same channel for every case; the form determines which options are available for the selected service and problem.

Identify who owns the transaction and what is missing
Before opening a case, classify the problem. This prevents a refund request from being sent to a company that did not process the payment and helps Rockstar route an account or gameplay report correctly.

The key distinction is the merchant of record: the business shown on the receipt or payment statement. Rockstar can investigate gameplay data, but it normally cannot reverse a transaction processed by another store.
If a Rockstar Games Store shipment is missing
Check the shipping confirmation before reporting it
Find the shipping-confirmation email for the order. Rockstar says that message contains a tracking link. An order sent in multiple boxes can have a different tracking number for each box, so one delivered parcel does not prove that every item in the order arrived. Shipping time also depends on the shipping option selected at checkout.

- Open each carrier link and compare the latest status with the delivery address and expected date.
- Check whether the order was split into separate boxes or shipments.
- Look for a delivery scan, attempted-delivery notice, hold-at-location message, or an address exception.
- Keep screenshots or copies of the tracking pages and the confirmation email for the support request.
If all tracking numbers show delivery but a box is absent, report the discrepancy rather than simply describing the whole order as late. State which tracking number is missing, which parcels arrived, and the date and time you checked.
What remedy can apply
Rockstar’s Refunds and Returns FAQ says a physical item purchased through the Rockstar Games Store can qualify for a refund when the ordered item was not received. Contact Rockstar Games Support with the order information and the shipment evidence so the support team can examine the delivery record and advise on the refund process.

Do not assume that a carrier’s “delivered” scan automatically ends the case. Include the scan, the number of parcels received, and any discrepancy between the delivery record and the contents of the order. The support team may need to distinguish a split shipment from a genuinely undelivered order.
If the physical item arrived damaged or defective
Document the condition before disposing of anything
Take clear photographs of the outer shipping box, internal packing material, shipping label, and the damaged or defective item. Keep the packaging and accessories until Rockstar tells you whether an exchange or return is required. Record the order number, item name, delivery date, and a short description of what does not work or what was physically damaged.
Describe the condition precisely: for example, a cracked component, crushed packaging, missing part, or a device that will not power on. Explain whether the damage was visible on arrival or discovered when you first used the item. This gives support a usable account of the problem without requiring several rounds of clarification.
Exchange and refund rules stated by Rockstar
Rockstar’s Refunds and Returns FAQ says a damaged or defective physical purchase may be exchanged for the same item. If that item is no longer available, a full or partial refund may be available. The FAQ directs customers to Rockstar Games Support for the exchange or refund request.
Do not promise yourself a particular remedy before Rockstar reviews the evidence. Ask for the same-item exchange first when that is the practical solution, and state that you would like the applicable refund option if the item cannot be supplied.

If an in-game item or progress record is missing
Use the support path for the affected game, not the physical-store returns path. Rockstar’s missing-progress guidance specifically covers GTA Online characters, cars, rank, items, and apartments. A strong report lets the team identify the account, locate the relevant event in its records, and understand exactly what changed.

- Your Gamertag, PSN ID, or Rockstar Games Nickname, as applicable.
- The date and time the problem occurred.
- A detailed description of what is missing.
- How you know it is missing, such as a previous owned item, rank value, character state, or transaction record.
Use the identifier for the platform on which the affected character or progress exists. If you use more than one platform account, name the one connected to the missing content and do not substitute an email address for a requested Gamertag or PSN ID.
Write the incident as a timeline
- State what you had before the problem, including the character, vehicle, rank, item, or apartment.
- Give the approximate date and time, including your time zone if you know it.
- Describe the action immediately before the loss, such as logging in, changing sessions, purchasing an item, or discovering a save state.
- State what you see now and why it differs from the earlier state.
- List any relevant screenshots, receipts, or transaction details that you can provide.
A concise timeline is more useful than a general statement such as “everything disappeared.” Report one related incident per request when possible, grouping only items that vanished in the same event.
If you bought the product through another storefront
Rockstar’s chargeback FAQ directs customers to the storefront that processed the transaction when the purchase was made through PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, Epic, Apple, Google, Nintendo, or another third-party seller. The same routing applies to refund or warranty claims for products purchased outside Rockstar’s own stores.
Find the correct seller
- Open the receipt or transaction history and identify the merchant name.
- Match the purchase to the platform account used at checkout.
- Open that platform’s support or refund page and select the transaction in question.
- Provide the platform order number, purchase date, item, and reason for the request.
Rockstar Support can still be appropriate for a gameplay problem that appears after a third-party purchase, such as content not appearing on the correct account. In that situation, explain both facts: where the payment occurred and what is missing in the game. The storefront handles the money side; Rockstar handles the game-service side when its support tools cover the issue.

Prepare the information before submitting
Gather the details that identify the account, transaction, shipment, and symptom. Supplying them in the first request reduces back-and-forth and makes it easier to route the case.
Account and platform details
- Rockstar Games account name or Rockstar Games Nickname.
- Gamertag, PSN ID, or the relevant platform identifier.
- The game or service affected.
- The platform on which you experienced the problem.
Purchase details
- Order number or platform transaction ID.
- Receipt or confirmation email.
- Exact item name and quantity.
- Purchase date.
- Merchant of record and storefront used.
Incident and evidence details
- Date and time the problem occurred or was discovered.
- A short, chronological description of the symptom.
- Tracking numbers and delivery status for a physical shipment.
- Photographs of packaging and damage for a physical-item claim.
- Screenshots or other proof showing the missing in-game content or previous state.
Keep the description factual. Separate what you observed from what you suspect, and say when a date or time is approximate. Do not attach unrelated files that make the important evidence harder to find.
A concise request format

Requested resolution: [investigation, exchange, refund, or restoration review]Replace each bracketed field with your information before submitting. If the issue is unrelated to a purchase, leave out the transaction section and focus on the account, incident time, and missing content.
Submit the case and manage the follow-up
- Return to the Rockstar Games Support issue path for the selected game or service.
- Read the suggested article and complete any relevant troubleshooting step.
- When prompted, sign in to the Rockstar Games account associated with the problem.
- Choose the contact method shown for that issue and enter the prepared facts in chronological order.
- Attach only the evidence that directly supports the claim, such as the receipt, tracking record, or damage photographs.
- Save the confirmation or case reference and keep copies of everything submitted.
Rockstar may offer email, chat, or a callback request depending on the category. If the site does not show a particular option, use the available channel for the selected issue rather than choosing an unrelated category simply to obtain a different contact method.

One parcel arrived, but the order is marked complete
Compare the contents with every tracking number in the shipping email. Tell support which parcel arrived and which item or box is absent. Include the tracking status for the missing parcel and the order number.

The carrier says delivered, but you did not receive the package
Save the delivery scan and state that the physical package was not received. Include the delivery date, tracking number, and the number of parcels actually in your possession. Rockstar can then distinguish a delivery discrepancy from a normal transit delay.
The item is damaged and also missing a component
Describe both conditions in one request and photograph the item, packaging, and contents as found. Ask whether the appropriate remedy is an exchange for the same item or a refund if replacement stock is unavailable.
You do not remember the exact time an in-game loss occurred
Give the closest date and time you can establish and label it as approximate. Explain how you determined the before-and-after state. Rockstar’s guidance asks for the date and time, but an honest estimate is more useful than an invented precise timestamp.
You paid through a platform store but the content is absent in-game
Include the platform transaction record and the account identifier used in the game. Contact the storefront for a transaction or refund question, and use Rockstar Support for the missing-content investigation when the issue path is available.
The item is no longer listed for sale
For a damaged or defective Rockstar Games Store item, state that the same item appears unavailable. Rockstar’s returns guidance says a full or partial refund may be available when the original item cannot be exchanged.
Choose the right remedy request
