To complete a bounty in Cattle Country, accept it from a Wanted Poster at the Sheriff’s building, find and take down the named bandit in the wilderness, then return to Sheriff Tom to claim your reward.
How to complete a bounty
- Accept a bounty: Go to the Sheriff’s building and pick up a bounty from a Wanted Poster.
- Track the target: Head into the wilderness and find the wanted bandit.
- Take down the bandit: Defeat the target to complete the hunt.
- Claim the reward: Return to Sheriff Tom. Playtonic Games’ Bandits & Bounties Update announcement, published 24 August 2026, summarizes the final steps: “Find your target, take them down and head back to Sheriff Tom to claim your reward.”
What reward do you get?
The bounty loop ends with a reward claimed from Sheriff Tom, but the official update does not specify its type or amount. It also does not state whether rewards vary by target, so there is no confirmed payout figure to rely on.

How bounties differ from other bandit encounters
Wanted Poster bounties are a specific hunt-and-return activity. The update also mentions bandit camps that can appear while exploring the overworld and may offer plunder; it does not identify camps as a required part of completing a poster bounty. Random robberies and shootouts at the General Store, Butcher, Carpenter, and Bank are separate encounters, not the bounty claim process.

Playtonic’s announcement does not specify bounty deadlines, failure conditions, repeat limits, required equipment, level requirements, or ways to optimize payouts. Those details should be treated as unconfirmed rather than assumed.
