These figures come from sources that may cover different regional variants. Motorola’s cited specifications are from its UK support page; they should not be assumed to describe every market. The A57’s reported memory and storage combinations also vary by country.
How do the displays compare?
Motorola: more pixels
Both phones have a 6.7-inch screen, but comparison data gives the Edge 60 Pro a 1220 × 2712 resolution, compared with 1080 × 2340 for the A57. Motorola therefore has the sharper stated resolution, which may matter for fine text and detailed images.
Samsung: 120 Hz AMOLED
The A57’s 120 Hz AMOLED panel is described by TechRadar as Super AMOLED Plus. Its refresh rate and panel type are useful everyday-use specifications, but they do not by themselves establish that its screen is better overall. Display preference also depends on factors such as brightness, color tuning and viewing conditions, which these specifications do not settle.

Performance, storage and software
Chipsets are not a benchmark
The Edge 60 Pro uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 8350, while the A57 uses Samsung’s Exynos 1680. Chip names alone are not enough to declare a performance winner. TechRadar’s review found everyday use adequate on its A57 test unit but noted gaming constraints; that observation applies to the reviewer’s experience, not every game or usage condition.
Check the exact storage variant
The available configurations differ by market. Motorola UK lists 512 GB of built-in storage and no memory-card slot, while TechRadar reports the A57 with 8 GB/128 GB or 8 GB/256 GB in the US and Australia, and 12 GB/512 GB in the UK. Compare the precise local variants you can buy rather than assuming that a specification from one country applies everywhere.
Samsung has a stated update pledge
TechRadar reports Samsung’s commitment to six major Android updates for the Galaxy A57. The cited Motorola material identifies Android 15 for the Edge 60 Pro but does not establish a comparable update commitment. That evidence supports treating Samsung’s pledge as a known advantage, not claiming that its total support period is definitively longer without a territory-specific Motorola policy and security-update details.

The cited comparison data gives the Edge 60 Pro a dedicated 10 MP telephoto camera alongside its 50 MP main and 50 MP ultrawide cameras. The A57’s listed rear cameras are a 50 MP main, 12 MP ultrawide and 5 MP macro. That makes the Motorola’s camera array more explicitly suited to telephoto shooting on paper, while the Samsung includes a macro camera.

Those sensor counts do not establish which phone takes better photos. Megapixels alone cannot tell you how well a camera handles focus, motion, low light, color or video. For image quality, look for sample images and controlled reviews of the exact models and, ideally, the same kinds of scenes you photograph.
Battery capacity and charging rates
Gadgets360 comparison data lists a 6,000 mAh battery and 90 W charging for the Edge 60 Pro; TechRadar lists 5,000 mAh and 45 W wired charging for the A57. These are stated capacities and rated charging specifications, not measured battery-life or full-charge results. Actual endurance and charging time depend on use and test conditions, so the larger capacity should not be read as a guaranteed number of extra hours.
Weight, thickness and protection
Comparison data lists the A57 at 179 g and 6.9 mm thick, versus 186 g for the Edge 60 Pro. Samsung’s phone is therefore the lighter and thinner option in those cited figures. Motorola’s UK specification page lists IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD-810H, while comparison data lists IP69 for the Edge 60 Pro; the A57 is listed with IP68. Confirm the exact rating for the regional model you are considering, and do not treat a protection rating as a promise that a phone cannot be damaged.

PhoneArena lists €699 as the Edge 60 Pro’s MSRP, but that figure does not establish a current local offer or a directly comparable SKU for each A57 price above. It is not a sound basis for a single, universal price difference. For a useful local comparison, match the country, RAM and storage tier, seller and condition, and check the prices on the same date. Also distinguish launch MSRP from current retail offers.
Which phone should you choose?
Choose the Edge 60 Pro if your priorities are
- A higher stated display resolution at a similar screen size.
- A larger stated battery capacity and higher rated charging hardware.
- A dedicated telephoto camera in the cited comparison data.
