Compare the exact model’s checkout total first, then assess cashback as a separate, conditional rebate. Add delivery and any services or accessories you actually need, and compare warranty coverage—not just the number of years—before deciding which offer costs less overall.
Start with the exact model and variant
A similar series name or screen size does not prove two products are identical. Record the full model number and the relevant configuration for each offer: screen size and variant for a TV, or capacity and configuration for an appliance. A price comparison is meaningful only when the products match.
Then record the price shown at checkout after any immediate discount or code. LG UK’s price-promise terms say: “Only the final price at checkout, which may include delivery will be considered for this Promotion; comparing only the respective RRP’s (retail recommended price) is not sufficient for the purposes of this Promotion.” That is wording from LG’s price-promise terms, not a guarantee that the promotion is currently open. The page describes scope and exclusions, so check its dates and live terms before relying on it. Read LG UK’s Price Promise terms.

Calculate what you must pay to get the product
Use two figures for each offer: the checkout total you need to pay and a separate estimated net cost that accounts for any cashback you later qualify for and successfully claim.

Checkout total = product price after immediate discounts + delivery + required services + necessary accessories.
Estimated net cost = checkout total − cashback actually eligible for and successfully claimed.
Keep those figures separate. The checkout total is the cash required upfront; the net figure depends on a future claim and should not be presented as a guaranteed saving.

- Delivery: check the fee for your postcode, not just a general “free delivery” headline.
- Services: add installation, connection, old-item removal or recycling only if you need them. LG’s promotions page says its member delivery benefit does not include installation unless the order expressly specifies it.
- Accessories: include an accessory only if it is necessary for your intended setup, and compare the actual cost.
LG UK’s promotions page displays a 5% welcome voucher for a first purchase after joining, an additional 2% membership discount and free delivery for members. The page states that the welcome voucher is valid for the first 90 days after sign-up and may not combine with other offers; postcode-related delivery fees are not covered by the delivery benefit; delivery is within the UK; and installation is excluded unless specified at ordering. LG also says prices, promotions and availability may vary by store and online and can change without notice. Treat these as terms displayed on the page, not as guaranteed future offers. Check LG UK’s promotions and terms.
Evaluate cashback as a conditional rebate
Do not subtract a cashback headline from the purchase price until you have checked the offer’s rules. A cashback amount is useful only if the specific product, seller and purchase meet the conditions and you complete the claim correctly.
- Confirm the exact model is eligible, including its variant.
- Check whether the retailer is eligible; an offer may not apply to every seller.
- Verify the purchase dates and claim deadline.
- Check what evidence is required, such as an invoice, receipt or claim form.
- Read the payout terms and timing, and note whether the offer can be combined with codes, membership discounts or other promotions.
LG’s price-promise terms list cashback promotions among exclusions, alongside coupon codes, bundles, multibuys, clearance, limited-time offers and certain exclusive discounts. The page also refers to specified retailers and in-stock availability. These conditions concern that price-promise promotion; they are not a general statement that every LG cashback offer has the same rules. Check the current Price Promise terms and LG’s offer listings for the relevant offer’s model, dates and claim conditions.

Value gifts and bundles realistically
A free gift, bundle or service is not the same as an immediate price reduction. LG’s offers listing includes examples such as a soundbar with eligible TVs and a water filter and delivery on selected fridge-freezers. For any such offer, verify the eligible model, offer period, registration or claim steps, and whether it can be combined with another discount.
Count a gift at the value it has to you: if you would otherwise buy or use it, it may reduce your effective cost; if not, do not treat its advertised value as cash savings. Check LG UK’s current offers before comparing.
Compare warranty coverage, not just duration
“Five-year warranty” can describe materially different protection. LG’s UK warranty guidance says terms vary by product and model. Its general table gives TVs 12 months of labour and 12 months of parts cover, and identifies a five-year premium OLED panel warranty on LG Z Series and G Series OLED TVs. A five-year panel warranty is narrower than five years of full parts-and-labour cover.

For each offer, check what is covered—labour, parts, panel, compressor or exclusions—and whether registration is required. Confirm the terms for the exact model and any retailer-specific extension rather than assuming the general guidance applies unchanged. LG says its manufacturer warranty is valid when accompanied by the original invoice, sales receipt or LG confirmation of the warranty period, so keep your purchase evidence. Read LG UK’s warranty guidance.
Retailer promotions can also have narrow purchase windows and claim conditions. For example, an Appliances Direct listing described a selected-appliance offer for purchases from 1 July through 30 September 2026, with registration within 90 days, and two years standard cover plus three years of extended parts-and-labour cover. That purchase window has elapsed; it illustrates why a warranty headline must be checked against the model, dates, coverage and registration rules rather than assumed to be live. Check Appliances Direct’s LG listings for current terms.

| Comparison item | What to record |
|---|---|
| Product | Exact model number and variant, including TV size or appliance configuration. |
| Checkout price | Price after immediate discounts or codes. |
| Delivery | Charge for your postcode. |
| Required extras | Installation, connection, removal, recycling and necessary accessories. |
| Cashback | Amount, model and retailer eligibility, purchase window, claim deadline, evidence and payout terms. |
| Warranty | Duration, parts/labour or component-only scope, exclusions and registration requirements. |
| Gift or bundle | Offer conditions and value to you, rather than its headline value alone. |
| Appliance energy use | Compare label consumption only where figures are comparable; estimate running cost only when you have an appropriate tariff and usage assumptions. |
Save a dated screenshot or written record of the product page, checkout total and offer terms—especially if you may make a cashback claim or rely on a price-promise process. Recheck availability, dates, model eligibility, postcode charges and checkout price just before ordering because these can change.
