The best 65-inch TV in Australia depends on your budget, viewing environment and the exact model available locally—not screen size alone. Australian listings span more accessible QLED and LED sets, Mini LED models and OLED televisions, with a wide range of prices. Use the local model code to compare listings, check independent measurements where available, and verify price and stock before buying.

Which 65-inch TV should I buy?

Start with the way you watch and the money you plan to spend, then compare specific Australian models. There is no evidence-based universal winner among the options covered here: the available comparisons do not provide a complete, same-lab set of measurements for all current Australian 65-inch models.

  • For a lower purchase price: compare the exact local QLED or LED models in your budget, including their current retailer prices and stock.
  • For an OLED option: check a local model such as the LG OLED65C6PSA, but weigh its price against your priorities rather than assuming the category is right for every room.
  • For a higher-end Mini LED option: compare the model’s verified features and independent test evidence with its price. A display category or price by itself does not establish how a particular TV performs.

TechRadar says its 65-inch TV testing includes objective readings such as colour accuracy and brightness, alongside a subjective assessment of performance relative to price and features. Its guide is a reviewer’s selection, not a universal ranking. On 10 September 2026, its update removed the Samsung QN90F, TCL C6K and TCL C7K because they lacked Australian stock, and added the Sony Bravia 5 as a mid-range pick. That change shows why local availability matters as much as a model’s appeal on paper. Read TechRadar’s Australian 65-inch TV guide.

How to compare 65-inch TVs without relying on the label

Separate display categories from model performance

Australian listings include LCD-based QLED and LED televisions, Mini LED sets and OLED models. Those labels identify broad display categories; they do not replace model-specific evidence. The available sources do not establish that one category always wins for bright rooms, dark-room films, gaming or sport. Look for a detailed review or authoritative product page for the exact model you are considering.

Look for measured evidence, not assumed specifications

Brightness and colour accuracy are useful comparison points when a reviewer publishes actual measurements. TechRadar describes measuring both, but the cited material does not provide a full current measurement table for all the Australian models listed here. Do not infer brightness, gaming latency, refresh rate or HDR support from a family name or display type.

Check the features you will use

Gaming support, HDR formats and smart-TV platform can affect the right choice, but verify each feature against the exact Australian model code. The gathered comparisons do not establish those details for every shortlist model, so avoid treating an international version’s specifications as proof of the local set’s features.

Why the Australian model code matters

Use the full model code shown on an Australian retailer or manufacturer page when checking price, specifications, warranty and stock. International product-family names and suffixes can differ from local versions. For example, local listings use codes such as Hisense 65Q6SAU and LG OLED65C6PSA; matching the code helps prevent confusion between variants. The Good Guys catalogue and Appliances Online’s listings show Australian product codes.

Check warranty terms before buying

Hisense Australia states that all its TVs come with a three-year warranty. This is the manufacturer’s general claim; confirm the written terms, exclusions and applicability to the exact model before purchase. See Hisense Australia’s TV range and warranty information.
