On iPhone, delete recent calls from the Phone app; on Mac, remove entries from FaceTime. If Phone & FaceTime syncing is enabled in iCloud, call data is available on devices signed in to the same Apple Account, but Apple’s guidance does not clearly confirm whether deleting an entry on one device deletes it everywhere.
Delete recent FaceTime calls on iPhone
iPhone call history is managed in the Phone app. Apple’s current instructions use the Filter control to reach the relevant call category; labels and layout may vary by iOS version.

Delete one call
- Open Phone and go to the call-history list.
- Tap Filter, then choose the relevant call category if prompted.
- Swipe the call entry all the way to the left to delete it.
Delete selected calls
- In the Phone call-history list, tap Edit, then Select.
- Mark the calls you want to remove.
- Tap Delete.
Apple’s instructions describe selecting calls to delete; they do not specify a separate control that clears every entry at once.
Recover deleted iPhone call history
Apple says recovering deleted call history requires restoring the iPhone from a backup made before the deletion. Restoring a backup is broader than undoing one call-history change, so consider what other data may be affected before proceeding. Apple’s call-history guidance covers deletion and recovery.

Remove a recent call on Mac
- Open FaceTime.
- Control-click the call entry you want to remove.
- Choose Delete from the context menu. Depending on the guide or software version, the command may be labeled Remove from Recents.
Apple documents removal of an individual entry; its cited Mac instructions do not establish a dedicated command for clearing the entire history. See Apple’s FaceTime instructions for Mac.
What iCloud syncing means for call history
Apple says Phone and FaceTime data, including call history, can sync across configured devices signed in to the same Apple Account when Phone & FaceTime is enabled for iCloud. With that syncing turned off, the data remains on the device rather than being made available on other devices through this feature. Apple describes synced data as staying up to date across signed-in devices, but does not explicitly guarantee in the cited guidance that deleting one call on an iPhone or Mac removes the matching entry on the other device. Do not rely on cross-device deletion unless you confirm the result on each device.

Check the iCloud setting on iPhone
- Open Settings and tap your name.
- Tap iCloud.
- On iOS 18 or later, tap See All; on iOS 16–17, tap Show All.
- Turn on Phone & FaceTime. Apple notes that Phone may appear instead if FaceTime is not installed.
