To clear all saved Bluetooth devices on a Pioneer AVH-120BT, open the Bluetooth settings on the receiver, select [Bluetooth Memory Clear], touch [Clear], and then touch [OK]. The owner’s manual’s Bluetooth settings section gives this sequence. If you only want to remove one phone and keep the others, delete that single device under [Connection] instead.
Clear the full Bluetooth memory
Use this route when you want every paired device removed from the receiver, for example before selling the unit or handing a vehicle to someone else.
- Press the unit’s control button as the manual’s Bluetooth instructions describe, then open the on-screen menu.
- Touch the two menu controls that lead to Bluetooth settings. The manual’s text extraction does not reliably name these icons, so follow the icon that is labelled or clearly marked as Bluetooth.
- In Bluetooth settings, select [Bluetooth Memory Clear].
- Touch [Clear].
- Touch [OK] to confirm.
The manual warns: “Never turn this product off and disconnect the device while the Bluetooth setting operation is being processed.” Wait until the operation finishes before powering down the receiver or unplugging the phone.

If you only need to remove a single device, you do not have to wipe the whole list. Bluetooth settings include a [Connection] area that lets you connect, disconnect, or delete a registered device manually.

- Open Bluetooth settings as in the steps above.
- Select [Connection].
- Find the registered device you want to remove and touch its delete control.
This is the better choice when other phones should stay paired, because it changes only the device you select.
Understand the three-device limit
The AVH-120BT can register up to three Bluetooth devices. If three are already paired and you try to add a fourth, the display shows [Memory Full]. The manual’s instruction is to delete a paired device before adding another, so the single-device route above is the usual fix. Clearing all memory also frees every slot at once.

Why the RESET button is not the same thing
The physical RESET button on the unit is a broader action. According to the owner’s manual, it returns settings and recorded contents to factory defaults, and some settings or contents may not reset. The manual also advises against pressing it while a device is connected.

For removing Bluetooth pairings, use the Bluetooth Memory Clear menu. Reserve RESET for cases where you want the receiver’s general settings reset as well.

What you do not need
Neither clearing Bluetooth memory nor deleting a single device requires an accessory, replacement part, or repair tool. Everything is done from the receiver’s own menus.
