To clean a Ninja Foodi 5-in-1 grill, let it cool, unplug it, wash only the removable parts the manual identifies as dishwasher-safe, and wipe the appliance body with a damp cloth. Check the model number on your unit first: “5-in-1” covers different models, and cleaning directions can vary.
How do I clean my Ninja Foodi 5-in-1 grill?
- Cool and unplug it. Wait until the appliance has cooled, then unplug it before cleaning. These steps are specified in the AG301 owner’s guide: AG301 owner’s guide.
- Clean the removable parts according to their instructions. Remove the cooking parts and check the guide for your exact model to see which parts can go in the dishwasher. For residue that does not come off easily, the AG301 guide recommends soaking removable parts in warm, soapy water. - Wipe the main unit. For the AG301, wipe the appliance body and control panel with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or use abrasive tools or cleaners.

Can I put the Ninja grill plate and cooking pot in the dishwasher?
It depends on the model and the part. Ninja’s UK product page for the EG351UK says its grill plate, cooking pot, and crisper plate are dishwasher-safe: EG351UK product details. The AG301 guide also describes its listed removable accessories as dishwasher-safe. These instructions should not be applied automatically to another 5-in-1 model.
Ninja’s EG351UK page advises hand-washing the plates and splatter guard, so check the page and manual for your particular unit before choosing a cleaning method: EG351UK cleaning guidance. If a component is not explicitly covered, do not assume it is dishwasher-safe.
How do I remove stuck-on residue?
For AG301 removable parts, the owner’s guide recommends soaking them in warm, soapy water and using the supplied cleaning brush with scraper on accessories. Avoid abrasive tools and cleaners on the main unit. How can I make sure these instructions fit my model?
Find the model number on your appliance and use the matching owner’s guide. The available instructions here cover the AG301 and the EG351UK, which are different series; their parts and cleaning directions are not interchangeable. Pay particular attention to the manual’s guidance for the splatter guard, any probe, and parts not specifically named in the cleaning instructions.
If the original brush is missing or worn, Ninja lists a cleaning brush with the EG351UK. Confirm that any replacement is compatible with your series; a replacement is not required for routine care if you already have a suitable brush.
