Unplug the air fryer oven and let it cool completely before cleaning. Wipe accessible door glass and interior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and mild soapy water; wash racks and the crumb tray only as the instructions for your exact model allow. Do not take double doors apart or pour liquid into hinges, seams, controls, or the oven cavity.
What to do before cleaning
- Turn the oven off, unplug it, and let it cool. Oster gives these precautions for its French-door air-fry oven in its care guidance.
- Remove loose crumbs. Take out racks and trays only if your manual identifies them as removable, and follow its instructions for handling them.
- Check the manual for your model. Cleaning and dishwasher rules differ by part and manufacturer; do not assume another oven’s directions apply.
How to clean the double doors
For accessible glass and door surfaces, use a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge dampened with mild soapy water, then wipe away soap with a clean damp cloth. Keep liquid away from seams, hinges, controls, and the oven cavity. Avoid abrasive scrubbers that could scratch surfaces.
Do not remove the doors or separate the glass panels unless the instructions for your exact model explicitly explain how. The manufacturer guidance cited here does not establish a universal method for cleaning between panes or around hinge mechanisms. If grease or crumbs are trapped in an inaccessible gap, consult the manual or the manufacturer rather than probing the seam or pouring cleaner into it.
How to clean racks and baskets
Wash removable racks and baskets with a little dishwashing liquid and a non-abrasive sponge or pad, following the appliance manual for any coated parts. Rinse as appropriate and dry thoroughly before putting them back.

Dishwasher safety is model-specific. Oster’s care answer allows top-rack cleaning for the specified rack on its French Door Air Fry Oven; GreenPan says its Elite Convection Air Fryer Toaster Oven’s listed racks and selected accessories are dishwasher-safe. Those instructions do not establish that racks from other ovens can go in a dishwasher.
How to clean the crumb tray
Empty crumbs frequently, as Oster advises, and remove the tray according to the manual. Wash it using the method approved for your oven, then dry it before reinstalling.

The instructions vary: GE says the removable tray for its G9OAAASSPSS can be cleaned with soap and warm water, while GreenPan specifies hand-washing the crumb tray for its Elite Convection Air Fryer Toaster Oven. GreenPan’s dishwasher guidance for listed racks and accessories does not extend to its crumb tray.
Wiping the interior and dealing with stubborn grease
For accessible interior walls, the GreenPan care guidance supports wiping with a damp cloth and a mild liquid-soap solution. Use a soft cloth and keep moisture away from electrical controls and other openings. The sources do not establish a universal procedure for cleaning heating elements or stubborn deposits, or a universal list of approved commercial cleaners. Check your model’s manual before using an oven cleaner, abrasive product, or any method beyond a gentle wipe.
