Unlock the Pokémon Center PC—Nintendo estimates this takes about 30 minutes of play—then choose Get Items > Mystery Gifts. Select Get via Internet for an available online gift or Get with Code/Password to redeem a code. You need an internet connection and a Nintendo Account linked to the receiving user, but not a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership.
How to claim a Mystery Gift
- Start Pokémon Pokopia from the Nintendo Switch 2 HOME Menu and press A at the title screen.
- Go to the Pokémon Center PC in town and press A to interact with it. If the PC or Mystery Gifts option is not available yet, continue playing; Nintendo estimates the feature unlocks after approximately 30 minutes of play. Nintendo Support explains the unlock and claim steps.
- Choose Get Items, then Mystery Gifts.
- Choose the claim method that matches the gift offer: Get via Internet for a gift offered directly through the game, or Get with Code/Password for a serial code or password.
- For an internet gift, select the gift shown on screen and let the game receive it. For a code gift, enter the code, then select the gift when it appears.
The console must be connected to the internet for either method. Link the receiving user to a Nintendo Account. Nintendo states that a Nintendo Switch Online membership is not required to receive a Mystery Gift. Nintendo’s product information also identifies the game as a Nintendo Switch 2 title.

Where to find a gift after claiming it
Received furniture and items appear in Ditto’s bag. Review recipe lists at a workbench or in the main menu’s collection, and check life coins at the Pokémon Center PC. To see the history of gifts already received, choose Check Gifts. These locations are described on the official Pokémon Pokopia Mystery Gift instructions.
The game automatically saves after a gift arrives. Nintendo’s instructions also note that a code/password gift generally cannot be redeemed again on the same Nintendo Account after save data is deleted, except when a distribution explicitly permits repeat claims. Check the offer’s terms and expiry before entering a code.

If Mystery Gifts will not work
- The option is missing: Continue playing until the Pokémon Center PC feature is available; Nintendo’s estimate is approximately 30 minutes of play.
- The game cannot connect: Check that the Nintendo Switch 2 is online and the receiving user is linked to a Nintendo Account. A paid Nintendo Switch Online membership is not required for Mystery Gift redemption.
- A code is rejected: Recheck the characters you entered and confirm that both the code-redemption and in-game claim deadlines have not passed. Nintendo’s support page does not provide a complete code-error diagnosis, so rely on the displayed error and the promotion’s official terms rather than assuming a particular cause.
