Indian students have two legitimate routes to Photoshop: check whether your school provides access through Adobe’s K–12 program, or buy Adobe’s discounted student and teacher Creative Cloud plan. Adobe-purchased subscriptions activate when you sign in to your Adobe account; a retailer purchase may instead require redeeming a 24-character code.
Choose the route that applies to you

The institutional offer is not an automatic entitlement for every student in India. If you attend an eligible K–12 school, ask its IT administrator or coordinator whether it participates and how it assigns licenses. Adobe lists Photoshop among the apps included in the institutional offer. Adobe’s India K–12 offer details.
Adobe’s India FAQ says the individual student and teacher discount is for students, teachers, and staff using their own computers. Student applicants must be at least 13 and enrolled in a primary or secondary school, college, university, homeschool, or alternative education program. Verify your student status for an individual plan
Adobe may verify eligibility using a school-issued email address during purchase. If you do not have one, or it cannot be verified, Adobe may ask for supporting documentation after purchase. Examples in Adobe’s education FAQ include a school ID, report card, transcript, or tuition bill or statement. The document should show your name, institution, and a current date.

Respond to the specific request and deadline shown in your Adobe account or Adobe email. Requirements and timing can depend on the purchase route and region, so do not assume that entering a school email guarantees approval.
Buy directly from Adobe and activate Photoshop
- Open Adobe’s India Creative Cloud plans and select the student and teacher option.
- Sign in to your Adobe account or create one, then provide accurate education details. Use your school-issued email if you have one.
- If Adobe asks for proof, submit a current document showing your name and institution through Adobe’s verification process.
- At checkout, confirm the plan name, current price, billing interval, renewal terms, and any trial terms shown for your offer.
- After purchase, sign in to the Adobe account associated with the subscription and install Photoshop using Adobe’s app or download flow. Adobe says an Adobe-purchased plan activates by signing in to that account. See Adobe’s activation instructions.
Redeem a retailer purchase
If you bought a student plan from a retailer, you may need to redeem the code Adobe provides rather than simply signing in. Use Adobe’s Creative Cloud redemption site and follow the prompts:

- Sign in to your Adobe account, or create one.
- Enter the requested academic-status information.
- Submit the 24-character alphanumeric redemption code.
- Review and accept the renewal terms, and provide billing details if prompted.
A UPC or another numeric product code is not the redemption code. After the code is redeemed, sign in to the Adobe account tied to the purchase to use the included apps. Adobe’s redemption instructions explain the process.
Get access through a participating K–12 school
For the Indian K–12 offer, your institution—not an individual student at Adobe checkout—handles eligibility checks and license provisioning. Contact your school’s IT administrator or coordinator to ask whether it participates and how to receive access. Follow the sign-in or account instructions the school provides.
Adobe’s published offer describes over 20 desktop apps, 100 GB of cloud storage per user, standard generative features, and 25 premium generative credits per month shared across Creative Cloud apps. These specifications apply to the institutional offer described on Adobe’s India K–12 page; they should not be assumed to apply to an individual student subscription.

Adobe’s India subscription terms state that an eligible free trial starts immediately and converts to a paid subscription at the stated rate unless you cancel before the trial ends. Education subscriptions can renew automatically, and tax may be added where the displayed rate excludes it. Prices and cancellation outcomes depend on the specific offer and contract, so review the terms shown at checkout and in your Adobe account rather than relying on a general price or cancellation assumption. Adobe may also ask you to verify that you are still a student to keep the education discount. If you receive a renewal verification request, follow the email link and submit documents through Adobe’s verification page as directed. See Adobe’s renewal verification instructions.
