You do not choose ear-tip sizes for Samsung Galaxy Buds On: Samsung describes it as a clip-on, open-ear earphone, not an in-ear model with removable tips. Its fit is about how the device rests around your outer ear. Samsung’s announcement explains some design choices but does not provide user fitting steps or adjustable sizes.
Does Galaxy Buds On use different ear-tip sizes?
No conventional ear-tip sizes are described for Galaxy Buds On in Samsung’s October 1, 2026 announcement. Samsung presents it as a clip-on design that rests around the ear and leaves the ear canal open. Do not assume silicone or foam tips made for another Galaxy Buds model will fit it.
That makes the usual in-ear fitting advice—choosing a tip diameter to seal the ear canal—the wrong framework for this model. The relevant question is whether its contact points and band sit comfortably around your outer ear.
What Samsung says about the fit
Samsung says it analyzed different ear shapes and used simulations to optimize the placement of the speaker and battery. It also says the wider contact area is intended to distribute pressure and that the band’s elasticity is tuned to help the earbuds stay attached during larger movements. These are manufacturer design claims, not evidence that the fit will be comfortable or secure for every wearer.

The announcement does not specify how to adjust the device if it feels loose, presses uncomfortably, or does not sit well. It also does not describe a Buds On fit test or user-adjustable sizing. For individual fit help, consult Samsung product support when model-specific guidance is available rather than bending, rotating, or modifying the device based on instructions for another model.
Open-ear fit: awareness and sound leakage
Because the design leaves the ear canal unobstructed, Samsung positions Buds On for listening while remaining connected to your surroundings. An open-ear design does not guarantee that you will hear every hazard, so do not treat it as a substitute for attention in traffic or other safety-critical situations.

Samsung also warns that sound leakage can vary with playback volume, ear shape, and ambient noise, and may be more noticeable in quiet settings. If you need to keep audio private or avoid disturbing people nearby, consider that trade-off; the announcement does not promise a leak-free fit.

Why other Galaxy Buds fitting instructions do not apply
Samsung’s support instructions for some in-ear models describe a different product design. Its Galaxy Buds and Buds+ wear guide covers attaching ear tips and wingtips, inserting the earbuds with the wingtip up, rotating them for comfort, and trying different sizes. Samsung’s Galaxy Buds2 fit-test guide discusses an app test and notes that left and right ears may need different tip sizes.

Those procedures are model-specific; neither source establishes that Buds On has removable tips, wingtips, or the Buds2 fit-test workflow. Do not buy replacement tips or follow an in-ear rotation routine on the assumption that they are compatible.

Samsung announced South Korea availability beginning October 27, 2026, in black at KRW 299,000, with other markets to follow later. That sale date is still in the future as of October 3, 2026, and Samsung has not specified a global release date in the announcement. Check Samsung’s local store or support for current regional availability.

Samsung also claims up to 9.5 hours of continuous music playback on one charge. That is a manufacturer maximum, not a fit or comfort measure, and the announcement does not establish how that figure will vary in everyday use.
