adidas recommends ordering your usual size in the Adizero Adios Pro 5. That is the best starting point, not a guarantee for every foot: if you are between sizes or have a wide forefoot, try adjacent sizes on if possible and confirm the seller’s return policy before buying.
What size does adidas recommend?
The adidas US and UK men’s and women’s product pages recommend ordering your usual size, describing the shoe as “true to size.” See the US product listing or UK product listing for the version and regional sizing system you intend to use.
This is the manufacturer’s general guidance; it does not establish that the shoe will fit every foot shape the same way. adidas describes the Lightlock 2.0 upper as one-way stretch textile intended to provide a secure, comfortable fit. That is a product description, not an independent fit assessment.

How to check your fit before ordering
- Start with your usual adidas running-shoe size. This follows adidas’s stated recommendation.
- Check the exact listing. Choose the men’s or women’s product page and the regional size system you need. The pages display different size ranges; no validated conversion chart is established here, so use the local size guide on the listing.
- Try them on if possible. Use the socks you expect to race in, and check for comfortable toe clearance, a secure heel, and pressure from the upper. These are practical fit checks, not model-specific test results.
- If uncertain, compare adjacent sizes. This is especially useful if you are between sizes, have a wide forefoot, or found the previous Adios Pro’s fit problematic. Check the retailer’s current return terms before purchasing.
Should you size up?
There is no dependable model-wide reason to size up automatically. Available owner comments are anecdotal and mixed: one surfaced comment describes sizing up from the previous model, while another owner reported no fit problems. Those individual experiences do not establish a general alternative to adidas’s usual-size recommendation. A recent discussion also notes that perceived width can depend on foot shape, but it is not a measurement of how commonly the shoe fits wide or narrow.

If you cannot try the shoe on, use your normal adidas running-shoe size as the baseline, then weigh your own fit history and the retailer’s return policy. Do not treat an isolated online sizing report as a universal half-size adjustment.
