The Samsung Galaxy F16 5G is the clearest Super AMOLED phone listed under ₹15,000 in India in October 2026: listings dated October 7 show its 4GB/128GB version at ₹12,499 and its 6GB/128GB version at ₹13,999. These are listing snapshots, not guaranteed checkout prices. Confirm the exact variant, seller, stock and final price before you buy.
Which Super AMOLED phone can I buy under ₹15,000 in India?
The Galaxy F16 5G is the strongest current-listing lead in the available October 2026 price snapshots. Smartprix and 91mobiles both list two configurations below the budget ceiling:
| Phone and configuration | Listed price | What the listing establishes |
|---|---|---|
| Samsung Galaxy F16 5G, 4GB RAM/128GB storage | ₹12,499 | Smartprix and 91mobiles list this variant at this price on October 7, 2026; 91mobiles identifies its display as Super AMOLED. Smartprix · 91mobiles |
| Samsung Galaxy F16 5G, 6GB RAM/128GB storage | ₹13,999 | Smartprix and 91mobiles list this variant at this price on October 7, 2026; 91mobiles identifies its display as Super AMOLED. Smartprix · 91mobiles |
Both variants fit the limit in those listings, with a ₹1,500 difference. The listings do not establish that either price, seller or configuration will still be available when you check out. Compare the final payable amount and return terms, not just the displayed starting price.
Is the 6GB F16 worth paying ₹1,500 more for?
The 6GB/128GB configuration gives you 2GB more RAM for ₹1,500 more, while storage remains 128GB. Choose it if you expect to keep more apps active or want more headroom for heavier multitasking. The 4GB version costs less and may suit lighter use. The supplied listings establish the memory and price difference, but do not provide comparative performance tests, so they cannot prove how much faster one will feel in specific apps.

What does the Galaxy F16 offer beyond its display?
91mobiles identifies the F16’s panel as Super AMOLED. Smartprix’s listing describes a 6.7-inch screen with 1080 × 2340 resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate, alongside a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, 5,000mAh battery and 25W charging. It also lists 50MP, 5MP and 2MP rear cameras, a 13MP front camera and Android 15. These are comparison-site specifications, not results from independent side-by-side testing. 91mobiles · Smartprix
The F16 is not a 2026 launch: 91mobiles dates its release to March 13, 2025. Its appearance in current October 2026 listings makes it a candidate to check, not a newly released phone.

Should you consider the Galaxy M17 5G?
The M17 is a relevant alternative to investigate, but the available price evidence is historical rather than an October 2026 offer. Samsung announced launch prices in October 2025 of ₹12,499 for 4GB/128GB and ₹13,999 for 6GB/128GB. Those launch prices do not establish today’s price or stock.

Samsung’s October 13, 2025 announcement specifies a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel, an Exynos 1330 processor and a 5,000mAh battery. It also states a peak brightness of 1100 nits in HBM mode; this is a manufacturer-stated figure, not an independent measurement. Samsung promised six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates. Treat that as the company’s support commitment, not a guarantee independently verified for future delivery. Samsung said the phone would be available through Amazon, Samsung.com and select retail stores starting October 13, 2025; that launch announcement does not confirm current availability. Compare the M17 with the F16 only after finding a live listing for the exact M17 configuration and checking its seller, price and return policy. The available sources do not provide comparable testing that establishes an overall winner.
Why the Galaxy M16 is not a confirmed current buy
Samsung’s India specification page for the M16 5G 6GB/128GB describes an FHD+ (1080 × 2340) Super AMOLED display with a maximum 90Hz refresh rate. It also lists 50MP, 5MP and 2MP rear cameras, a 13MP front camera, 128GB storage with microSD expansion up to 1.5TB, USB-C and a 5,000mAh battery. Samsung states that its security update period is valid until October 31, 2030. However, the page marks the specified configuration “Not for sale,” so the specification page alone is not evidence of current stock. Consider the M16 only if you independently confirm a current seller listing. Samsung India specifications · Samsung India security-update information

How to check a listing before buying
- Open the retailer’s product page and select the exact RAM and storage configuration you want. Do not assume the lowest displayed price applies to both F16 variants.
- Check the final checkout price, including delivery charges or other mandatory fees, against your ₹15,000 limit.
- Confirm that the selected seller has the phone in stock and review the return or replacement terms before placing the order.
- For an M17 or M16 listing, verify that it is a current offer for the exact model and configuration; a past launch price or a specification page is not proof of present availability.
What this shortlist can—and cannot—tell you
Category pages can surface more phones than are practical current purchases: 91mobiles says its Super AMOLED under-₹15,000 category contains 35 phones, while Smartprix also shows older or uncertain listings. A filtered database is not proof that every result is newly released, in stock or purchasable at the shown price. This guide therefore focuses on the F16’s matching October 7, 2026 listings and treats the M17 and M16 according to what their dated manufacturer information establishes. 91mobiles · Smartprix
The cited pages provide prices and specifications, not independent comparisons of display quality, camera results, battery life or overall performance. Use the listing details to build a shortlist, then make the purchase decision using current price, availability, variant and seller terms.
