Choose a screen size that feels comfortable in your hand, then compare independent battery tests for phones in that size range using conditions close to your own use. A high battery-capacity number alone cannot tell you how long a phone will last: display size and brightness, refresh rate, signal strength, software, and workload all affect power use.
Start with the screen you can comfortably use
Screen diagonal is a useful first filter, not a measure of how a phone feels to hold. A 6.7-inch display is one example of a large screen: Motorola lists that size for the Moto G 2026. Its specification illustrates the size, but does not establish that the phone has long battery life. Motorola’s specifications also do not tell you whether the phone’s width, weight, or overall shape will suit you.
When comparing phones, check the full dimensions and weight as well as the diagonal. If possible, handle a phone in person or compare its dimensions with a device you already find comfortable. Consumer Reports’ September 2026 buying guide also refers to the Samsung Galaxy A57 as a 6.7-inch option; that screen-size reference alone is not a battery-life recommendation. Battery capacity, commonly listed in milliamp-hours (mAh), describes the battery; it does not directly predict hours of use. A phone’s display, brightness setting, refresh rate, cellular connection and signal, software, and the apps or tasks you run all affect how quickly it uses power. Samsung notes that screen brightness and display area can affect power use, while Tom’s Guide cautions that a larger mAh figure does not always mean longer runtime. Samsung’s battery guide and Tom’s Guide’s battery-test method explain why capacity should be treated as one specification, not the verdict.

Look for an independent test result and read how it was produced. Consumer Reports says it uses a robot to mimic real-world smartphone use for battery testing. Tom’s Guide describes a scripted web-browsing test at 150 nits of brightness and says it checks phones at default and alternate refresh rates. These methods measure different workloads, so compare results within the same testing method rather than combining their runtimes into a single ranking.
Match the test to your habits. A web-browsing test is informative for sustained browsing, but it does not by itself establish how long the same phone will last during gaming, video recording, navigation, or a day with weak cellular reception. Prefer tests that describe their workload and settings, and treat any mismatch with your own use as uncertainty.

Read advertised battery-life claims with their conditions
Manufacturer estimates can help compare devices from the same maker, but they are not guarantees of a typical day. Apple says battery life varies with use, configuration, cellular network, and signal strength. Its battery information should therefore be read with the stated test profile in view. Do not compare advertised hours from different manufacturers as though they came from one standardized test.
Check charging as a separate buying factor
Charging speed can make a phone more convenient, but it is not the same as battery endurance. Motorola lists up to 30W TurboPower charging for the Moto G 2026 and says a compatible Motorola TurboPower charger rated at 30W or higher is required for maximum charging speed. Check the exact regional and retailer listing to confirm whether a suitable charger is included; the charging specification does not establish independent battery runtime. Motorola’s specifications provide the stated charging details.

Use this checklist to narrow your choices
- Set a comfortable size range. Use screen diagonal to shortlist phones, then compare dimensions and weight or handle them in person.
- Define your battery target. Consider the tasks you need to get through between charges, including any demanding use such as gaming or navigation.
- Compare like-for-like independent results. Favor the same tester and a workload similar to yours; note brightness and refresh-rate settings.
- Review the other ownership details. Check charging capability, charger-in-box details for your region and retailer, software-support terms, and total purchase price.
- Verify the exact model and local listing. Availability, price, and included accessories can differ by region and seller.
The available information establishes useful selection criteria and test methods, but not comparable model-by-model endurance results across these factors. It therefore cannot support naming an overall best large-screen, long-battery phone. Treat the Moto G 2026 as a 6.7-inch screen and charging-specification example only, not as a proven long-runtime choice; assess any candidate against a comparable battery test before buying.
