The 18 templates in Colorlib’s 2026 roundup are not all Bootstrap products: eight are WordPress themes, while ten are static HTML templates built with Bootstrap. Pick a publishing workflow first, then choose a design that fits your goal—such as getting hired, attracting clients, showing visual work, blogging, or selling music.
The roundup describes features and intended uses, but it is not a hands-on comparison. Check the live demo and seller listing for current price, license, support, compatibility, and update status before committing.
Start with the platform and publishing workflow
A static HTML template is a practical fit for a portfolio or CV that changes occasionally and does not need frequent publishing. It gives you direct control over the files, but edits generally require working with HTML and arranging hosting for the site.
WordPress is the more natural starting point if you expect to publish blog posts regularly or expand the site with features such as a client area. The themes below are WordPress products, not Bootstrap HTML templates; their editing experience depends on the theme and its bundled page builder.

Choose one page or multiple pages
A one-page site can work when your pitch is brief and you have a small number of projects to show. Give each project its own page when it needs a substantial case study, with enough context to explain the problem, your role, and the outcome. A template’s demo should make it clear whether its navigation and project layouts support the amount of material you have.

What to put on a personal website
Choose content that helps a visitor understand who you serve and what to do next. The roundup recommends a concise statement of your service and audience, three to six work samples with context, proof such as testimonials or named clients, and a contact route beyond a form.

- Explain your role in each project rather than relying on images or a list of client names alone.
- Use testimonials or named-client examples only when you have permission to publish them.
- Provide an alternate contact method so visitors are not blocked if a form fails.
Can a personal site replace LinkedIn?
Use a personal site to present your work and point visitors toward a clear next step; treat LinkedIn as a complementary professional profile. The roundup’s guidance is that a website should complement, not replace, LinkedIn.

- Open the current demo and test the pages and interactions that matter to your intended site, including navigation, project detail pages, blog, or shop where relevant.
- Confirm the seller’s current product name, platform, included files, and any version requirements. This is especially important when a roundup description or demo leaves product identity unclear.
- Read the current license and terms, and check whether the template is still available and supported.
- Verify compatibility with the software and workflow you plan to use; the roundup does not establish current compatibility or update status.
- Assess accessibility and mobile behavior yourself or through an appropriate review. The roundup does not report accessibility or compatibility testing.
