Start with each guest’s specific need, then check the current menu and ask the restaurant about the exact dish and its preparation. A vegan or gluten-free label can help narrow the choices, but it does not guarantee that a dish is safe for someone with an allergy or that cross-contact is prevented.
Start by separating preferences from medical restrictions
Ask each guest what they need before comparing restaurants. A preference, such as choosing vegan food, is different from an intolerance, allergy, or medically necessary avoidance. For allergies and other safety-critical restrictions, get the exact ingredient or exposure concern rather than relying on a broad label such as “allergy-friendly.”

Then check whether the live brunch menu includes a plausible dish for every person. If someone has an allergy, contact the restaurant with the specific allergen and dish in mind; ask about ingredients and kitchen handling for your intended visit. A menu icon is a shortlist clue, not confirmation of allergy-safe preparation.
Compare the menu, allergy communication, and group rules
- Menu coverage: Look for clearly identified dishes that plausibly fit each guest’s needs. Check whether the labels describe the dish as served or indicate that a modification is required.
- Allergy communication: Ask whether the restaurant can accommodate the particular restriction, whether the dish’s ingredients can be confirmed, and how the kitchen handles preparation. Do not infer cross-contact safety from a menu label or a general accommodation statement.
- Group logistics: Check whether your party can book online or must contact the restaurant, whether modifications may be declined, and whether an automatic gratuity applies.
- Timing and cost: Confirm brunch service on your date, current menu and prices, taxes, service charges, and any party-size conditions.
- Location and setting: Consider neighborhood, access, and whether the venue’s group space suits your occasion. A semi-private area is not the same as a private dining room.

Green Point Seafood & Oyster Bar
In the Knox District at 3219 Knox Street, Green Point says its team can accommodate gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, nut-allergy, dairy-allergy, and other dietary requests. Its listed Saturday and Sunday brunch hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The restaurant describes a semi-private area for large groups and says it has no private dining room. Ask about the specific guest and dish: the broad accommodation statement does not establish that every menu item is suitable or free of cross-contact. Green Point’s official site
Pangea Dallas
Pangea says brunch is the only menu served during brunch hours, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Its official menu uses vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and gluten-free-modification labels. Treat those labels as a way to identify dishes for follow-up, not as an allergy-safety guarantee. Pangea’s official site

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Contact the restaurant before you book
For a group with an allergy or medically necessary restriction, ask about the actual meal and visit rather than only whether the restaurant “accommodates” a category. A concise message can include the guest’s exact restriction, the planned date, and the dish you are considering.

- Give the exact restriction—for example, a named allergen, rather than only “allergy-friendly.”
- Ask whether the dish contains the ingredient and whether staff can confirm its ingredients.
- Ask how the kitchen handles preparation for that restriction, including any cross-contact concern relevant to the guest.
- Confirm whether the dish can be prepared that way on your date and whether the restaurant can note the request for the group.
- Check reservation instructions, party-size rules, modification limits, brunch hours, and any automatic gratuity before finalizing.
If the answer is unclear for a serious allergy, do not treat a menu label or general assurance as a guarantee. Let the affected guest decide whether the restaurant’s response is sufficient, and consider another venue if it is not.
