Choose a 1440p QD-OLED gaming monitor by matching its refresh rate to the games and PC you use, then compare the exact model’s HDR certification, connectivity, ergonomics, OLED-care features, and regional warranty. Current manufacturer examples range from 280Hz to 500Hz at 2560×1440; those maximum specifications do not mean every game or graphics card can deliver matching frame rates.
Start with the refresh rate your games and PC can use
At 2560×1440, the examples below span 280Hz, 360Hz, and 500Hz. A higher ceiling is most relevant if you play competitive titles and your system can produce very high frame rates. For mixed gaming, treat refresh rate as one factor alongside HDR, warranty, connectivity, and your budget—not an automatic reason to choose the highest number.
Refresh and response figures on these product pages are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements. MSI and Samsung each list 0.03ms GtG for the cited models; that figure alone does not establish how a monitor performs in a complete motion test.

Decide whether HDR or refresh matters more
The listed HDR badges differ: the MSI MPG 271QRX and MAG 271QP X28 carry DisplayHDR True Black 400, while the MSI MAG 272QP X50 and Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 G60SF list DisplayHDR True Black 500. A certification is useful for distinguishing listed capabilities, but it does not by itself establish identical measured brightness or HDR performance in real scenes. If HDR is a priority, compare independent reviews of the exact model rather than choosing by badge alone.
Check the connection and physical fit for the exact SKU
Before buying, confirm that the monitor’s ports, your graphics card’s outputs, and the cable path support the resolution and refresh combination you want. The specifications cited here do not provide a complete, directly comparable connectivity list, so there is no universal port or cable recommendation that follows from this model comparison.

- HDR10 provides brighter highlights and nuanced shadows for added depth and more realistic scenes
- Check the exact regional model’s input list and supported resolution/refresh modes.
- Confirm the cable and GPU output you plan to use can support that mode.
- Check desk depth, stand adjustment, VESA mounting, and finish against the exact SKU before committing to a setup.
Read the OLED warranty wording, including burn-in terms
Warranty coverage is model- and region-specific, so read the policy for the precise SKU and country where you will buy it. MSI says its cited OLED monitors have three-year coverage that includes burn-in. Samsung UK says burn-in during normal use is covered within warranty, while excluding commercial use, abuse, and misuse. These statements should not be generalized to other models or regions.
If the monitor will display static desktop elements for long periods, consider its OLED-care features and warranty terms as part of the purchase decision. The cited manufacturer pages describe protection features, but do not quantify burn-in probability for a particular usage pattern.
