To see which countries generated revenue on a YouTube live stream, open YouTube Studio, go to Analytics, and use the expanded report (also called Advanced Mode) to view revenue by geography. For one stream, open that video’s analytics; for the whole channel, use channel analytics. Choose Estimated revenue for total estimated YouTube earnings, not just ad revenue. The country breakdown represents viewers’ locations, not the creator’s location or payout country.

Check revenue by country for a specific live stream

  1. Sign in to YouTube Studio and open Analytics.
  2. Open the live stream’s video-level analytics. If needed, narrow the content selection to Live so you can locate the stream.
  3. Open the expanded report, labelled Advanced Mode in some Studio views. Use its geography or country/region breakdown and select the revenue metric you need.
  4. Set a date range that includes the stream. If you want the stream’s full reported earnings, make sure the range covers the relevant viewing and reporting period.

YouTube provides revenue reporting at both channel and video level for eligible creators. The expanded report supports more specific data, comparisons, and exports. Studio’s layout and labels may vary as YouTube rolls out an updated experience.

Check revenue by country for the whole channel

  1. In YouTube Studio, open Analytics and go to the Revenue reporting area.
  2. Open the expanded report or Advanced Mode.
  3. Choose a country/region or geography breakdown, then select the date range and revenue metric you want to inspect.

This channel-level view includes the selected period across your channel; it is not limited to one live stream. To isolate a stream, use its video-level analytics instead. YouTube’s official guidance says revenue data by geography is not limited, though other geography metrics may be limited.

Choose the right revenue metric

For total estimated YouTube earnings, choose Estimated revenue. It can include ads, YouTube Premium, channel memberships, Super Chat, and Super Stickers. Estimated ad revenue is narrower: it covers advertising only. Check the metric definition shown in the report before comparing countries or streams.

A view does not guarantee an ad or monetized playback. Country revenue therefore is not a direct substitute for country views, nor does it by itself establish a fixed country-level RPM. The selected metric, revenue sources, and whether views were monetized all affect what the figures mean.

Understand geography and reporting limits

  • Country means viewer location. It does not mean the channel owner’s country, tax residence, or payout location. YouTube’s standard reporting guidance does not describe a separate country-revenue procedure for Indian channels.
  • Geography is not available in real-time reports. Use processed analytics rather than expecting a country breakdown while a stream is live.
  • Private and unlisted videos do not show geography data. If you cannot find country rows for a stream, check its visibility setting.
  • Visible country rows may not add up to the total. YouTube may suppress rows under data limits while retaining the underlying data in totals. It does not publish fixed thresholds, and they can change.
  • Revenue figures start as estimates. Treat the Analytics amount as provisional until earnings are finalized.

When revenue becomes final

YouTube says finalized earnings appear in Analytics after payment data is added to AdSense for YouTube, typically between the 7th and 12th day of the following month. A recent stream or date range may therefore show estimates rather than final earnings. For an accurate comparison, use the same date basis and revenue metric for each stream or country.

Troubleshoot a missing or confusing country report

  • No geography data appears: confirm you are not viewing a real-time report and that the stream is not private or unlisted.
  • The report is empty or revenue options are missing: confirm the selected date range includes the stream and that your channel has access to Revenue analytics through the YouTube Partner Program.
  • Some countries are absent or rows do not sum to the total: data limits can suppress rows; YouTube does not state a universal threshold.
  • Country revenue seems inconsistent with view counts: verify whether you selected total estimated revenue or estimated ad revenue. Views do not all generate ad revenue, and total revenue may include non-ad sources.
  • The menu names differ: YouTube has been gradually updating Studio’s experience, so the exact layout may vary. Look for Analytics, the expanded report/Advanced Mode, and a geography breakdown.

Or let it run in the cloud

If your goal is to keep uploaded videos looping as a YouTube live stream, StreamNeo is a separate way to handle the broadcast; it does not change how YouTube reports revenue by country. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. StreamNeo runs the loop in the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home. Any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps streams as made at one flat price per slot, and the service automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. Details are at StreamNeo; start the free first day.
