How to Check Your PlayStation Wallet Balance on PS5, PS4, Web, or App

You can check your PlayStation Store wallet balance on the web, PS5, PS4, or PlayStation App. Choose the steps for the device you have, then use the balance at checkout to see whether you need another payment method.

Check your PlayStation wallet balance on the web

Sign in to the PlayStation Store.
Select your profile icon, then choose Payment Management.
Look at the top of the screen for your wallet balance.

Check your PS Store balance on PS5

Open PlayStation Store.
Press Triangle on your controller.
Choose … (More). Your balance appears beside the profile icon.

Check your PS Store balance on PS4

Go to Settings > Account Management > Account Information.
Select Wallet and sign in if prompted.
Select Add Funds. Your balance appears at the top right.

Check your balance in the PlayStation App

Select the PlayStation Store icon.
Open the menu in the top-right corner.
Choose Payment Methods. Your balance appears at the top.

Will your wallet balance cover the game?

PlayStation applies wallet funds first when you make a purchase. If the balance does not cover the full amount, you can pay the remainder with another payment method. Some subscriptions may still require a payment method on the account, even when wallet funds are used. Sony’s wallet guidance explains how wallet funds are applied.

What to know about child accounts

A child account does not have its own wallet and cannot add funds to one. Eligible purchases use the family manager’s wallet and are limited by the child account’s spending limit. Sony says that limit defaults to zero when the account is created. See PlayStation’s payment-method and account guidance for details.

If you need to add funds

Sony says you can add wallet funds with an accepted payment method or a PlayStation Store gift card (voucher code). Accepted payment methods vary by country or region, so check the guidance for your account region rather than assuming the US options apply. For US accounts, Sony lists Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, and Cash App Pay; availability may change. Check Sony’s payment-method page for current information.

If a recent top-up is missing

Check your transaction history to see whether the funding or purchase succeeded.
