To check an Xbox digital game’s current price, use the official Xbox Game Deals listing or Sales and Specials page, then open the exact product page before buying. Confirm the edition, platform, sale price, and any Game Pass eligibility: offers can change, and a current discount does not show whether the price is a historical low.
Where to find current Xbox game prices
Xbox’s own Store pages are the authoritative place to check its digital game prices. The Game Deals listing shows games with their listed full prices and current offer prices, along with discount information. Its filters can help narrow results by attributes such as price, genre, subscription, age rating, and platform.

How to verify that a discount applies to the game you want
- Open the Game Deals or Sales and Specials page for your local Xbox Store.
- Select the game and inspect its product page. Check the edition and included content, such as standard or deluxe editions and bundles.
- Confirm the platform. Console and PC listings can have different prices or eligibility; do not assume an offer shown for one applies to the other.
- Compare the listed full price with the current offer price and displayed discount percentage for that exact listing.
- Before checkout, review the final product page and purchase terms. Prices, availability, and eligibility are market-specific and can change.
For example, the US Sales and Specials page showed Grand Theft Auto Online (Xbox Series X|S) at $9.99, reduced from a listed $19.99, or 50% off, when checked on October 7, 2026. That was a dated storefront snapshot—not a lasting price or recommendation.

Check whether a deal requires Game Pass
Some offers are selected-game discounts for subscribers to Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, or Essential. Xbox’s Store pages provide subscription-related filters and a “Deals with Game Pass” section. Check the specific game listing and your account’s eligibility rather than assuming every title or subscriber qualifies. Xbox describes these as discounts on selected games; they are not a universal reduction on the catalog.
Set a sale alert if you want to wait
If you are not ready to buy, add the game to your Xbox wishlist. Xbox says wishlist users can be notified when a saved item goes on sale. Add the exact listing you want, especially if multiple editions or platform versions appear, and check the product page again when an alert arrives because the offer may have changed.

Does a current discount mean it is the lowest price?
No. The reviewed Xbox deal pages show current offers and listed full prices, but they do not provide a historical price chart or establish that an offer is the game’s lowest-ever price. Use the displayed discount to understand the offer currently shown, not to infer how it compares with every past sale.
Can an Xbox gift card pay for a digital game?
Xbox says a gift card code can be redeemed and applied to digital games. That is a payment option, not evidence that the gift card itself is discounted or that using one lowers the game’s price.
