To find out whether a game is still available after a merger, check its exact edition in the official store for each platform and region you care about, then confirm whether the listing allows a new purchase. If you already own it, check your account library separately: a game can be unavailable to buy while remaining accessible to previous owners. A merger by itself does not establish that a game was delisted or that existing owners lost access.
Check the exact game, edition, platform, and region
Start with the full title and the specific release you mean. A base game, deluxe edition, add-on, and version for another platform may each have a separate store listing. Also identify the country or market where you intend to buy or play it; availability can differ by market.
Search the official store on every platform you use, rather than relying only on a general web search. Open the product page and look for an active purchase option. A page that still loads is not proof that a new purchase is possible: Microsoft says delisting makes a product no longer purchasable even though its direct product details page may remain accessible. Its store guidance also describes delisting from selected markets or from all markets. Microsoft Learn: How to delist items from the Microsoft Store

Sign in to the account that bought or claimed the game and look in that platform’s library. If it appears, consult the platform’s current download and access instructions; a store page or library entry alone does not establish every condition for downloading or launching it.

Policies differ by storefront. Epic says a game delisted from the Epic Games Store can no longer be purchased there, but customers who already own or claimed it keep access in their library. SEGA likewise says selected delisted games remain available in owners’ libraries. These statements apply to those services and titles, not automatically to another platform or every game. Read the publisher’s notice for dates and conditions
Search the game’s official site and the publisher’s support or news pages for the exact title, edition, platform, and region. Look for details such as the removal date, affected storefronts, downloadable content, and any limits on unused keys. For example, Ubisoft’s notice about Rocksmith (2011) specified which storefronts would remove the game and associated DLC, and separately addressed unactivated keys. That example shows why the notice for the particular game matters; its terms should not be assumed to apply to other titles. Ubisoft: Rocksmith (2011) delisting announcement

Ask the current publisher if the status or reason is unclear
If the game is missing, the store page offers no purchase option, or you cannot tell what changed, contact the publisher identified on the game’s official site or store listing. Include the exact release, platform, region, and whether you are asking about a new purchase or access to a copy you already own. Epic specifically advises contacting the publisher to learn why a particular game was delisted. Epic Games Store support
A merger may change ownership or distribution arrangements, but it does not by itself prove that a particular game was removed, that all relevant rights transferred, or that owners lost access. Licensing, publishing, technical, and other factors can affect digital-product availability; Microsoft notes that availability may vary based on such factors. Title- and platform-specific confirmation is needed. Microsoft Services Agreement: Usage rules for Digital Goods

Record the answer for each platform
If you are comparing releases or stores, keep the questions distinct rather than treating “available” as one yes-or-no status:
- New purchase: Does the official store currently offer a purchase option in your market?
- Existing ownership: Does the account that bought or claimed the game show it in its library, and what do the platform’s download and play instructions say?
- Scope: Which edition, platform, and regions does the listing or publisher notice cover?
- Conditions: Does the game rely on licensed content or online services, or does the publisher specify a removal date or unused-key restrictions?
Recheck the store and publisher notice close to when you plan to buy or play. Listings, regional availability, and removal details can change.
