Start with the movie or show’s details page in the service where you watch it. Netflix has a specific “Last day to watch on Netflix” notice for titles leaving within the next month; for other services, check their own title page or help center rather than assuming they use the same alert. A departures tracker can help you check several services at once, but confirm its listing with the service.
Check the service’s title page first
- Open the movie or show’s details page in the app or website for the service carrying it. On Netflix, look for “Last day to watch on Netflix” on the title’s Details page. Netflix says this notice appears when a title is leaving within the next month. Netflix Help Center
- On Netflix, watch for a notice when playback starts. If the title is leaving within the next month, Netflix says it briefly shows the warning at the top of the screen when playback begins. Netflix Help Center
- Check the country-specific catalog. Availability varies by region. Netflix’s help page asks you to select a country to view content-specific information, and its licensing decisions consider a title’s popularity in a region. Netflix Help Center Netflix Help Center
Netflix’s notice is documented for Netflix only. The available service guidance does not establish a standard warning message or lead time across all streaming providers. If another service’s title page does not show a departure date, check that service’s help center; the absence of a notice is not proof that the title will remain available indefinitely.
Use a tracker as a cross-check
If you follow titles on several platforms, a departures tracker can put upcoming removals in one list. Leaving Soon currently lists departures for Netflix, Max, Hulu, Prime Video, Disney+, Peacock, and Paramount+, and offers an optional weekly digest. Its listings can change, so verify a title and date in the relevant service’s app or website.

If the title has already disappeared
Search the title in a catalog guide to see whether it is available elsewhere. JustWatch describes provider filters and a Timeline for new catalog additions, which can help locate a title. Its cited information covers new and upcoming titles; it does not promise a complete history of removals or a definitive departure-date database. JustWatch: New
Why a title leaves
Netflix says some titles leave because of licensing agreements with studios. When a license is due to expire, Netflix considers whether rights are still available, how popular the title is in a region, and the cost of licensing it. A renewed license can keep the title on Netflix; if it is not renewed, Netflix says it gives viewers a heads-up. This describes Netflix’s approach, not a universal policy for every streaming service.
