Your Modern Warfare 4 pre-order bonus is eligible only when the specific promotion, edition, platform account, storefront country, purchase channel and offer dates all match its terms. A country list for one promotion does not automatically apply to every Modern Warfare 4 bonus. Identify the exact reward first, then verify the local product page and the benefit shown in your order confirmation or at checkout.
Start by identifying the exact bonus
“The preorder bonus” is not one universal offer. Modern Warfare 4 has separate rules for standard digital pre-orders, Vault Edition content, the Vault Edition loyalty discount, Microsoft Store credit and retailer or partner codes. Eligibility must be checked against the terms for the particular reward you expect.
| Bonus or promotion | Format and edition | What determines eligibility | How it is delivered |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard digital pre-order benefits | Digital Standard or another qualifying digital purchase | Storefront, account, country and the promotion’s dates | Some content is granted automatically |
| Vault Edition loyalty discount | Digital Vault Edition pre-order or pre-purchase only | Qualifying earlier game, same platform and same platform account, and the discount appearing before checkout | Applied at checkout; no code |
| Vault Edition content | Digital Vault Edition | Edition purchased and the local store’s offer terms | Usually attached to the digital entitlement |
| Xbox Store promotional credit | Qualifying Microsoft Store purchase | Listed country, offer window, supply and Microsoft Store channel | Xbox app notification and Offers & credits redemption |
| Retailer or partner code | Product and channel specified by that promotion | Local retailer terms, country, dates and valid code | Manual code redemption |
Activision’s edition information and support instructions are the starting points, but the actual local storefront or retailer listing controls what your order includes. Read the offer name exactly as it appears rather than assuming that every item advertised for Modern Warfare 4 applies to your purchase.
The six checks that decide regional eligibility
1. Name the reward
Write down the precise item: for example, the Vault Edition loyalty discount, Xbox Store credit, the Hunter Killer Operator Skin, double XP from a partner promotion or a retailer-specific code. If a listing simply says “pre-order bonuses,” open its benefits section and determine which entitlements are promised.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
2. Identify the purchase channel
Record whether you are buying through a console digital storefront, a PC storefront, the in-game store or a physical retailer. A Microsoft Store offer cannot be treated as a PlayStation, Steam, Battle.net or independent retailer offer. A partner code can have an entirely different country list from a platform-store promotion.
3. Confirm the country attached to the buying account
Use the country or region configured for the platform account and the storefront page that will process payment. Your physical location, billing address, shipping destination and account country can differ; the promotion may use only one of those values. Do not infer eligibility from a neighboring country’s store page or from a global advertising page.
4. Check edition and format
Separate digital Standard, digital Vault and physical Standard products. Activision identifies physical PS5 and Xbox Series X Standard Editions at participating retailers. The Vault Edition is digital only, and a physical pre-order cannot be upgraded to Vault Edition under the published guide.
5. Check the offer window
Note the start and end times, the time zone and any “while supplies last” condition. A promotion can be available in your country but still be invalid because the purchase was made outside its dates.

6. Determine whether delivery is automatic or code-based
Digital entitlements may attach automatically to the purchasing account. Other promotions send a code that must be redeemed separately. The order receipt should tell you which situation applies; if it does not, use the promotion’s own instructions rather than a generic redemption page.
How to verify the Vault Edition loyalty discount
Activision’s May 28, 2026 edition guide describes a 10% discount against standard MSRP for eligible digital Vault Edition pre-orders or pre-purchases. It is not a general regional coupon and it does not apply to every Vault purchase.
Qualifying previous titles
The guide lists these games as qualifying titles:
- Modern Warfare (2019)
- Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered (2020)
- Black Ops Cold War
- Vanguard
- Modern Warfare II (2022)
- Modern Warfare III (2023)
- Black Ops 6
- Black Ops 7
Activision describes qualifying ownership and play through a digital or physical purchase, specified active Game Pass tiers, or a PlayStation Plus Monthly Games claim. Merely having seen or downloaded a game is not enough unless the account meets the qualifying ownership and play condition described by the offer.

The earlier qualifying title and your Modern Warfare 4 Vault pre-order must use the same gaming platform and the same platform account. The official guide states: “The discount is only available at checkout if you pre-order or pre-purchase Modern Warfare 4 on the same gaming platform and with the same platform account used for the previous qualifying title.”

For example, qualifying play on one platform account does not establish eligibility for a Vault pre-order made on a different platform account. A publisher account being linked to both systems does not replace the requirement for continuity on the platform account used for the purchase.
Where the discount must appear
Open the in-game store or the platform’s digital storefront while signed in to the account that owns and played the qualifying title. Select the digital Vault Edition and continue to the checkout summary. The 10% reduction should be visible before you submit payment. Do not complete the purchase expecting a later refund if the price is still the standard amount.
Dates and exclusions
The guide says the discount applies to Vault Edition pre-orders or pre-purchases through October 23, 2026, is subject to change, and is unavailable for Vault upgrades. A physical pre-order cannot be converted into a Vault Edition purchase under those terms. If your store does not show the reduction before checkout, treat that as an unresolved eligibility problem rather than proof that the discount will be added after launch.
Why a Vault discount may not show at checkout
- Wrong edition: You selected Standard, a physical product or a Vault upgrade instead of a new digital Vault Edition pre-purchase.
- Different platform account: The qualifying game is owned or played on another account, even if both accounts are linked to the same publisher profile.
- Different platform: The earlier title was played on a different console or PC platform from the one processing the Modern Warfare 4 order.
- Unqualified title or status: The earlier game is not on Activision’s list, or the ownership/play requirement is not met.
- Storefront mismatch: The account is signed into a storefront whose country or purchase channel does not carry the offer.
- Offer changed or ended: The guide says the promotion is subject to change and lists October 23, 2026 as the end of the stated pre-order period.
Recheck each item while signed into the purchasing account. If all conditions appear satisfied but the price remains unchanged, save a screenshot of the checkout page and contact the platform store or Activision Support before paying.

Checking the Xbox Store promotional credit
Microsoft publishes a separate Modern Warfare 4 Xbox Store offer. Its stated window is 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time on May 28, 2026, through 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on October 22, 2026, while supplies last. The page lists region-dependent Xbox gift-card values, so the credit amount is not one worldwide figure.
The participating locations named on Microsoft’s page are:
- United States, including Puerto Rico
- Canada
- Argentina
- Australia
- Austria
- Belgium
- Brazil
- Chile
- Colombia
- Czechia
- Denmark
- Finland

- Germany
- Greece

Those countries apply only to the Microsoft Store promotion described on that page. They do not establish eligibility for PlayStation, Steam, Battle.net, physical retailers or other Modern Warfare 4 bonuses.

PC notification timing
Microsoft says PC customers receive an Xbox app notification within 35 days of game launch. Follow the page’s Offers & credits instructions when the notification arrives. “Within 35 days” is a delivery window, not a promise that the credit appears immediately after pre-ordering.
Best Value

- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.

Xbox credit verification steps
- Open the Microsoft offer page and select the storefront region matching the account that will make the purchase.
- Read the listed country, date and supply conditions; confirm that the purchase is made through Microsoft Store rather than another channel.
- Keep the order number and receipt showing the edition and purchase date.
- For a PC purchase, monitor the Xbox app signed in to the purchasing account for the notification.
- Use Offers & credits as directed by Microsoft and retain the confirmation until the credit is applied.
Physical versus digital pre-orders
Activision’s guide identifies physical PS5 and Xbox Series X Standard Editions sold through participating retailers. A retailer’s package may have its own included item, code, country restriction or expiration date. Read the exact local listing, including the seller, edition, platform, shipping region and benefits text.
| Purchase type | What to verify | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|
| Digital Standard | Storefront country, account, automatic entitlements and the listing’s dates | Does not become Vault Edition merely because a loyalty discount exists |
| Digital Vault | Same-platform qualifying title, same platform account and discount visible before checkout | 10% offer is tied to eligible pre-purchases and may change |
| Physical PS5 Standard | Retailer, seller, shipping country, included code and redemption deadline | Cannot be upgraded to Vault Edition under the published guide |
| Physical Xbox Series X Standard | Retailer terms and whether the product is sold in your market | Retailer benefits are not governed by Microsoft’s Xbox Store country list |
If you search for a physical PS5 product, the phrase Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 PS5 physical edition can help locate listings, but treat every result as a separate offer. Check the seller’s region and the exact “included bonuses” description before ordering.
Code-based promotions and automatic entitlements
Activision Support’s bonus-content page, dated September 14, 2026, distinguishes digital pre-order benefits that are granted automatically from promotions that require a code. It lists the Hunter Killer Operator Skin and other digital content among the benefits described there. It also describes a selected Monster Energy drink promotion for double XP and other game content, plus an Xbox Store offer delivered through Xbox app notifications. Each route has its own terms.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Redeem a code correctly
- Use the redemption destination specified by the promotion, not a page chosen from a search result.
- Enter all 13 characters exactly as printed, including letters and numbers in the correct order.
- Sign in to the platform or Activision account that should receive the content.
- Save the redemption confirmation and restart the game or service if the instructions require it.
Interpret common errors
- Code already redeemed: The content may already be attached to the account that first used the code. Check the in-game inventory and other linked accounts before trying again.
- Maximum redemptions reached: Confirm that you are signed into the intended account and that the promotion allows the number of uses you are attempting.
- Invalid code: Re-enter the 13-character sequence exactly as printed and check for transcription mistakes.
- No content yet: Verify that the purchase or redemption was made on the correct platform account and allow the delivery period stated in that promotion.
A code error does not prove that your country is excluded. First establish whether the code was issued for your region and product, then troubleshoot the account and redemption state.
Use the local storefront as the final check
Publisher-wide pages cannot settle every retailer’s current inventory, local price, tax treatment, platform-store clause or country-specific code rule. Before payment, compare the offer wording in the local storefront or retailer listing with the reward you intend to receive.
- The product title names Modern Warfare 4 and the correct platform.
- The edition is Standard or Vault as intended.
- The country or region of the storefront matches the purchasing account.
- The bonus description appears in the product page, cart or checkout summary.
- The order date falls inside the promotion’s stated window.
- The listing says whether the benefit is automatic or supplied by code.
- Any retailer-specific terms identify the seller, participating market and redemption deadline.
Keep the receipt, product page and confirmation email. These records give support staff the information needed to distinguish a regional restriction from an account, edition or delivery problem.
A practical decision procedure
- Write the reward name. Do not proceed with the generic phrase “pre-order bonus.”
- Open the matching official terms. Use Activision’s edition guide for the Vault discount and edition rules, Microsoft’s page for the Xbox Store credit, and Activision Support for code and automatic-entitlement instructions.
- Match the account and platform. For the Vault discount, verify the listed earlier title was owned and played on the same platform account.
- Match the format. Confirm digital versus physical and Standard versus Vault; exclude physical-to-Vault upgrades where the terms prohibit them.
- Match country and channel. Apply a country list only to the promotion that published it.
- Match dates and timing. Check the offer’s time zone, end date and any supply limit.
- Inspect checkout. A loyalty discount must be visible before payment; a code promotion must provide a valid code or clear delivery instruction.
- Save evidence. Retain the receipt and screenshots showing the listing, price and bonus language.
- Escalate unresolved cases. Contact the storefront, retailer or Activision Support with the order receipt, offer name, country, platform, edition and account details.
