For a Syracuse game against an ACC opponent, check the ACC’s current Football availability report. Find the Syracuse matchup, note when the report was posted, and check again near kickoff: ACC football reports are submitted daily, with the game-day report due two hours before the scheduled start. The report gives availability status, not a player’s diagnosis or the reason for the designation.
How to check Syracuse’s availability report
- Confirm the matchup and kickoff. Use the Syracuse Athletics football page to find the schedule and team updates.
- Open the ACC Football report. Go to the current ACC Student-Athlete Availability Reporting page and find the Syracuse game. The page also links to archived reports.
- Check the report’s timing. ACC football reporting begins three nights before a game, with reports submitted daily. The game-day report is due two hours before the scheduled game time.
- Recheck close to kickoff. An earlier entry may not reflect the final game-day designation. Match the report to the correct opponent and scheduled start time.

What each ACC status means
Pre-game categories differ from game-day categories, so interpret a designation in the context of when that report was issued.

The percentages are the ACC’s definitions for those terms, not measured probabilities for a particular Syracuse player or estimates of injury risk.

What the report does—and does not—tell you
The ACC publicly reports a player’s availability status, not the specific reason for uncertainty. A designation may relate to injury or illness, eligibility, or a personal or family matter. On its own, a status does not establish a diagnosis, affected body part, severity, recovery timetable, or even that the player is injured. The ACC explains this in its July 22, 2025 policy announcement.

- Report date and time: distinguish an earlier-week listing from a later update.
- Status category: note whether a pre-game designation has changed to a game-day category.
- Change from the previous report: record what changed without inferring a medical explanation.
- Opponent and kickoff: make sure the entry belongs to the Syracuse matchup you are following.
A September 12, 2026 ACC Sports article about Syracuse’s game against California illustrates why the distinction matters: it reported six Syracuse players as Out and Calvin Russell III as a Game Time Decision, while noting that the designations did not explain why players were unavailable.
