To check Starlink in India, use Starlink’s official availability map and enter the complete service address. The map is the authoritative place to see whether that address is serviceable, awaiting coverage, or subject to regulatory approval. If ordering is enabled, continue through the official checkout to preview the local kit charge and recurring monthly service price.
Do not use a plan price displayed for another country as an Indian quote. India-specific consumer pricing, kit pricing, data terms, speed commitments and a generally available order path are not established by the public records reviewed here. An address-level result in Starlink’s own order flow is the practical test before you buy hardware or rely on an announcement.
What the availability check actually tells you
Starlink availability is determined by service address, not simply by country. Entering “India” or a city name is not enough: the map evaluates the exact location you intend to serve. Two addresses in the same city can receive different results because coverage, capacity and regulatory permissions can vary by location.
The map can distinguish a location that can be served now from one with pending coverage or pending regulatory approval. Those labels are materially different. “Available” indicates that Starlink is presenting an order route for the address at that moment. A pending or unavailable result is not a promise that service will begin on a particular date.

- Gen 3 Satellite Dish: Third-generation antenna delivers a stronger, more stable signal and faster performance.
- Wi-Fi 6 Router: Modern router technology supports faster speeds, increased device capacity, and better efficiency.
- Extra 150FT Cable Included: Extended reach for more flexible installation in large spaces or hard-to-access locations.
- High-Speed, Low-Latency Internet: Stream HD content, video conference, or work remotely with confidence.
- Ideal for Rural and Remote Areas: Perfect for homes, cabins, RVs, boats, and off-grid setups where wired internet isn’t available.
An available label also should not be read as a guaranteed speed, latency, uptime or data allowance. The reviewed public information does not establish an India-wide speed commitment or a single data policy. Read the terms attached to the specific offer instead of assuming that a plan shown elsewhere applies to your address.
Map and plan information is dynamic. Check again immediately before placing an order, and again if you are buying a kit from a third party, because a result can change after capacity or regulatory conditions change.
How to check Starlink coverage at an Indian address
- Open Starlink’s official availability map. Use Starlink’s own map rather than a reseller’s coverage graphic or a social-media screenshot.
- Enter the full intended service address. Include the house or building number, street, locality, city, state and PIN code where the form requests them. If the map offers a pin, place it on the property you want to serve rather than at a nearby landmark.
- Read the status shown for that point. Note whether the result says service is available, coverage is expected later, or regulatory approval is still pending. Save the wording and date if you need to compare a later result.
- Open the plans or order options presented for that address. The offers shown after an address search are more relevant than a generic plan page, because availability and plan choices can differ by location.
- Continue only far enough to see the order preview. If Starlink allows the address to proceed, the preview is where Starlink says you can see the local kit cost and recurring monthly service charge.
- Stop if the address cannot be verified. Do not substitute a nearby address to force an order. A neighboring address may have different eligibility, capacity or taxes and may not be usable at your premises.
If the map says “available”
An available result means Starlink is currently offering an order path for the entered location. It does not by itself specify the final amount you will pay, installation arrangements or every service term. Open the plan details and order preview for the exact address, then read the checkout terms before paying.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFor a genuine order path, the address should remain attached to the account and checkout should show a plan, a kit charge and a recurring service charge. If a page only displays a general interest form, a news announcement or a map color without an order preview, treat it as an availability indication rather than a completed purchase route.
If the map shows pending coverage or regulatory approval
Pending coverage means Starlink is not presenting the same immediate service commitment as an available address. Pending regulatory approval is an additional legal or administrative condition. Neither status is a reliable launch date, so avoid buying a terminal on the assumption that a pending location will become active soon.
Do not ask a seller to activate a pending address through a different city or state. The official result is tied to the premises you intend to use, and a workaround can leave the equipment or account unusable there.
If the address is rejected or not found
Check spelling, PIN code and the map pin. Try the official address format used by your local postal service, but do not move the pin to a different property merely to obtain a positive result. If the exact property remains unrecognized, treat it as unconfirmed and contact Starlink through its official support route rather than relying on a reseller’s assurance.
Where to find Starlink’s India price
Starlink’s help guidance identifies the address-based order preview as the place to check local pricing. That preview separates the one-time kit charge from the recurring monthly service charge. Use the figures shown for your own Indian service address, including any taxes, shipping or other line items displayed at checkout.
Record the currency exactly as shown. A one-time hardware amount and a monthly service amount are different obligations, and a low promotional figure on a generic page may not include delivery, taxes or other checkout lines. The order preview, followed by the final confirmation, is more reliable than a copied price card.
A plan page opened in another country can show residential or roaming prices in that market’s currency. Those figures are not evidence of an Indian price. Currency conversion, exchange-rate calculations and screenshots from foreign accounts cannot establish what an Indian customer will be charged.
The publicly reviewed material does not establish a current India-specific consumer plan price, kit price, data allowance, speed commitment or universally available Indian order path. If the official Indian order preview does not show a price, there is no verified amount to quote; wait for the address flow to provide one instead of inferring it from another market.
What to record from the order preview
- The exact service address and the date you checked it.
- The plan name and whether it is residential or roaming.
- The one-time kit amount, with currency and any shipping or tax lines.
- The recurring monthly service amount and billing frequency.
- Any stated data, mobility, suspension, hardware-return or service-limit terms.
- The country and account region displayed during checkout.
- The cancellation, refund and return conditions shown before payment.
Keep a copy of the final terms you accepted. Dynamic plan pages can change, while your order confirmation is the record tied to your transaction. If the amount changes between the map and checkout, rely on the final checkout total and investigate any unexplained region or tax change before paying.
Residential versus roaming plans
The first useful comparison is purpose. Residential service is designed around a home location. Roaming is intended for use while traveling. The exact names, prices and restrictions offered in India must be read from the address-specific order flow; the general plan page does not establish Indian terms.

| Primary use | Connectivity at a designated home or service address | Connectivity while traveling, subject to the plan’s mobility rules |
| Address relationship | Ordered against a specific service address | May permit movement, but the permitted geography and conditions are plan-specific |
| How to verify Indian availability | Enter the Indian address on the official map and inspect the order options | Check whether the address and the displayed Indian offer include roaming; do not assume a foreign roaming plan transfers |

| What to compare before purchase | Monthly charge, service limits, address rules and any stated data policy | Monthly charge, travel geography, mobility limits, service limits and any stated data policy |
Do not select roaming simply because it appears on a global plan page. The relevant question is whether Starlink offers that plan for your Indian account and what movement rules appear in your checkout terms. A roaming label does not automatically mean unrestricted use throughout India or in another country.
What India’s regulatory records do—and do not—prove
India’s Department of Telecommunications eServices listings identify Starlink Satellite Communication Private Limited among licensees in the Global Mobile Personal Communications by Satellite (GMPCS) service category and the Commercial Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) Closed User Group category. The GMPCS listing extract identifies its licensees as of 10 June 2025.

Those listings are evidence that the company appears in specified authorization records. They do not, on their own, prove that consumer internet service is live, that your address is orderable, that a kit can be activated, or that an India-specific retail price has been published. The official address checker and order preview answer those customer-level questions.
A license category is also not the same thing as a retail plan. A company may be listed for an authorized service category while customer ordering, spectrum conditions, gateway arrangements or other approvals remain subject to separate requirements. Check the current address result rather than treating a directory entry as a launch announcement.
A Department of Telecommunications warning from 2021 said Starlink had not then obtained authorization and that bookings were premature. That statement is historical context, not a description of today’s licensing status. Do not use it either to claim that current service is unauthorized or to claim that all consumer service is now available.
What the Airtel and Jio reports mean for buyers
Associated Press reporting in March 2025 described agreements involving Starlink, Airtel and Jio that contemplated potential equipment distribution and business opportunities, subject to government approval. The reports do not establish that either operator is currently selling Starlink kits, activating consumer accounts or offering an India-specific plan.

Buying a Starlink kit from a marketplace or reseller
The physical product is a Starlink satellite-internet terminal kit, and Starlink’s own pricing guidance distinguishes the kit charge from monthly service. A kit listed on a marketplace may nevertheless be tied to a different market, account region or activation policy.
Before paying a third-party seller, verify all of the following:
- The seller can provide a legitimate product identifier and proof of purchase.
- The exact hardware model is intended for the market in which you will activate it.
- Starlink’s official support or account flow allows activation at your Indian service address.
- The seller’s return policy covers an address that fails the official eligibility check.
- You are not being asked to use somebody else’s account or a different service address.
- The quoted price clearly separates hardware, shipping, taxes and any recurring service obligation.
The reviewed evidence does not establish Amazon India inventory, an authorized marketplace-seller list, local hardware compatibility for every listing, or a separate Indian activation path. A marketplace listing is therefore equipment research, not proof that service can be ordered or used at your location. Do not assume that a listing marked “international” or “unlocked” will satisfy Indian activation requirements.
Common failure modes and what to do
The map shows service, but checkout shows no price
Recheck that the account country, currency and service address are set to India. If the official flow still provides no local amount, do not convert a foreign price yourself. Wait for a price to appear in the Indian order preview or obtain clarification through Starlink’s official support channel.
A foreign currency appears
Stop before payment and verify that you did not open a country-specific plan page or create an account under another region. A foreign-currency figure is not an India quote and may correspond to different taxes, hardware, availability and service rules.
A reseller promises activation after purchase
Run the exact address through Starlink’s official map first. If the map does not show an orderable result, assume activation is unconfirmed regardless of the seller’s promise. Ask for a return option that applies if Starlink rejects the address.

The address was available, then became unavailable
Availability can change with capacity and regulatory conditions. Use the current map result and the latest order terms, not an earlier screenshot or email. If you already paid, consult the order’s cancellation and refund terms through the official account channel.

Do not assume a residential plan follows the hardware. Check the account’s service-address and mobility rules before relocating it. A different property must be checked separately on the map.
You see a plan but no Indian service address
A generic residential or roaming page can exist even when a particular Indian address cannot be ordered. Return to the availability map, enter the exact premises and follow only the offers generated for that location.

The exact Indian plan names, kit price, monthly charge, data terms and speed commitments are not established until Starlink displays them for your address. The official order preview is the place to verify local amounts.
Can I order Starlink in India using a foreign price or imported kit?
No. A foreign-market price is not an Indian quote, and an imported kit may be tied to another market or account region. Confirm Indian address eligibility and activation in Starlink’s official flow before paying.
Do DoT listings prove that consumer Starlink service is live?
No. DoT records list Starlink in specified GMPCS and Commercial VSAT CUG authorization categories, but they do not independently prove that a particular Indian address is orderable or that a retail price is published.
Are Airtel or Jio currently selling Starlink?
March 2025 reporting described potential equipment distribution and business arrangements subject to government approval. It did not establish current retail sales, activation or an India-specific plan through either operator.
Recommended Free Tools
What should I do if the map says pending?
Treat pending coverage or regulatory approval as unconfirmed. Do not buy a terminal on the assumption that service will start by a particular date; check the address again when Starlink presents an order route.
Can I move a residential Starlink kit to another property?
Do not assume that hardware can be moved freely. Check the account’s address and mobility terms, and verify the new property separately on Starlink’s official map.
The Bottom Line
Use Starlink’s official availability map and exact Indian service address as your starting point. If the address can proceed to checkout, use that order preview to verify the one-time kit charge and recurring monthly price. Ignore foreign-market quotes, treat DoT listings and Airtel/Jio reports as context rather than proof of consumer availability, and verify activation before buying any marketplace or reseller kit.
